Same. I am a couple days older then Jade. I think she was born 2 days after me and I haven’t yet had any baby. I want to start trying this year but I have endometriosis so I’m not sure if it’s possible. But her announcement made my baby fever even worse.
Omg same! We are trying for a little girl for our 2nd child! (Genuinely will be happy either way because I have fertility issues and any baby would be awesome) but our little bubba definitely needs a baby sister!
I hear you. All of our friends are pregnant or have babies and I have the baby fever real hard. My husband and I are currently trying - it’s been a few months now. (Been dealing with some fibroids, plus I’m older, so I’m just worried it’s going to take a while.)

Ghoul, as a mumma of 2 (they're 6 and 11 now) I can guarantee you're doing amazingly. Baby gremlin will arrive and you'll figure it out. Like all mums. But you have such natural nurturing instincts, any baby would be lucky to have you and Dallas as their parents. Momma Ghoul! Don't forget BlackCraft Cult baby stuff!!!! And I don't know if it's been suggested, but maybe giving the baby gremlin a namesake after your grandpa that passed. I love a good family name, even as a middle name.
A great thing about your aesthetic is that it's perfect for Baby's first four months when high contrast/black & white patterns is what stands out most in their limited eyesight, so it attracts their attention and helps them focus.

My midwife gave me the best advice ever on dressing my baby; she said whatever layers we wear, baby needs 1 more and always they lose their warmth through their little feet and heads so lots of cute Halloween socks and beanies for lil man.

My biggest advice is if you find sheets or blankets tou really like grab 2. They go through so many of them and you're constantly washing them. Also the sheets will fit the crib and toddler mattress because they are the same so you'll be able to use them for a few years. Congratulations you guys!!!!
I’m so excited for you guys! I love that he has his own spooky Mr.Skeleton. ❤ Hot tip for Target Cat and Jack clothes; If it gets stained or ruined somehow you can take it back to Target and they’ll always replace it for you, and recycle the old one! For free, and I’m told even without a receipt!

The best book for new parents is “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. It’s continually updated with the most important info and was my Bible during my 3 pregnancies. I also loved “What to Expect the First Year.” And I don’t know if it still holds true, but baby clothes sizing used to run either larger or smaller than the tag size, so you won’t know your gremlin’s size until you try clothes on him (regardless of his age). You have a good start with baby stuffs so far! And I can’t wait to see the nursery design you create!
Eh, there’s a lot of good info in that book but some of it should be taken with a grain of salt. You can really give yourself a complex if you take that book as gospel. They make promises like “you’ll soon know what their cries mean” about the different kinds of cries… y’all, it took me three kids to suss that out. The recipes were kinda weird when I had my oldest. They had me making her a first birthday cake with ground up raisins and stuff… it really wasn’t that serious, any tiny cake would have been fine, it’s once a year, but like a schmuck I made this foul little cake for her. Also, they give advice like “Take 30 minutes to go soak in a bath and let your partner watch the baby” like that was gonna be enough to save your sanity! All the recommendations for mental health breaks were like that, spa, nails, massage, all of which I hate. Jade might not, though, come to think of it… Anyway, it’s a nice reference, very helpful for colic (though my oldest responded to absolutely nothing they suggested) and the like, and good childproofing info.
It’s 2023, you can just get the app! They have forums on there where you can troubleshoot/get support as well!
I just found out I’m pregnant and was literally a giddy child through this whole haul with a few tears thrown in there lol I’ll be due around September/October and can’t wait for all the baby Halloween stuff 🖤 Can’t wait for more baby content!! 😍 Congratulations again, so so happy for you!

I’m sure you’ve already had a million responses but my babies do wear long sleeve onesies in summer because air conditioning is cold! I put them in long sleeves pants socks and then swaddle them. Ironically they hardly wore any super warm clothes in winter, because the heater is always on and they were too warm indoors 😂

Btw, for the blah beige onesie you could tie dye it black! :) I'm a 53 yr old nana to 3 gorgeous grandkids and I remember my daughter told me that if you are cold your baby is probably cold.....if you're hot your baby is probably hot. Not sure if that helps LOL??? That Burts Bees spider web onesie is too cute!!!

Also the partial onesies that have the snap buttons only on bum area are not a hassle, it's the full body onesies that have the buttons that are hassle lol

When i had my daughter, I decided to keep all my favorite outfits from her first year of life. I am going to make them into a quilt or blanket when she turns one so i can have them forever 💜
Well the little pumpkin will have lots of clothes. This reminds me of a year or two ago I almost broke down in tears when I saw Halloween baby clothes at Target. The skeleton was pretty cute.

My little gremlin was a Halloween baby and I loved dressing him in spooky clothing! He is 17 now and I miss the cute baby days. My favorite outfit for him was a Jack the Pumpkin King onesie we found.

Yes, zips all the way! Also the ones that look like nightgowns are awesome when babies are little bitty and changing diapers are frequent, boy girl, it dont matter. Snaps on open legs are the main way those come, but the pjs with legs...zips all the way. Another tip nobody told me until after my baby wasnt a baby anymore is those onesies with the funky overlapped shoulders are to roll the outfit off their shoulders and DOWN their body instead of trying to navigate a blowout situation over their head, lol. Get a few outfits you would love to get a picture of baby in but dont go nuts on each size because babies grow like little weeds and wont stay in a size long. I personally kept my baby in pj onesies and no legged onsies almost always, it was a rare moment to put him in separates. Ah, I am just so excited about this baby!
Babies can’t/don’t shiver to warm themselves so definitely warmer clothes just in case! Love the haul and congrats!

The little one is gonna be adorable in all those clothes. May can be 50/50, it can be a late spring with lots of cold nights or it can be an early summer and be pretty warm. It's one of those in-between months kinda like October.

Oldnavy has awesome baby pajamas, they even have a zipper at the bottom,so you don't have to fully undress them in the middle of the night. By far my favourite.

Oh, I just love all the little baby things, take it from an old ghoul, with teenage boys, the little time flies, and makes me all misty thinking about it. Also, I haven't had nails since they were little, those fancy nails might be on their last run. How bout the name Jack, keeps going through my head.

Biggest rule of thumb for comfort: if you're cold or warm then you're baby probably is too! Consider the temperature inside the house as well as outside the house and also survey how heavy your baby sweats turning bedtime! Everything looks wonderful, lovely and so do you! Enjoy every precious minute of mommyhood! I miss when mine were still little! 💘

New mom here. I have found snaps easier than the zips sometimes. Especially, when baby is super fussy, zippers can be a pain. I would say as advice. Always think about what you think would be convenient when baby comes right now, like bare essentials because you can always get what you might need later. It saves on buying a bunch of stuff only not to actually use it.
Those are perfect!!! I had both my kids in July, I looked up and people say babies need one more layer than adults. So the long sleeves are perfect especially since that first year you're inside with air conditioning, etc.

You slay me with the beige sound cue. OMG. Cuteness Overload. Yes. We ALL need skeleton outfits. I remember we LOVED those fold-over mittens attached to the arms/cuffs (to keep them from scratching themselves). The separate gloves we got would always fall off. My kids were like frickin Houdini.
Jade, I wish I had access to your baby gremlin prep videos way back when I was a new mom. It would have been fun to get inspiration from another spooky loving mom. I have a late May baby too, she’s 13 now but one thing I remember is that you can never have enough onesies. Leaks happen a lot. I always put her in lightweight long sleeve onesies, especially when the air conditioner was on. 🧡
You could tie dye the cream colored onesie with black/purple to make it spookier! Or you could have everyone that comes to your baby shower sign it, I did that and it was a cute lil memento. Congratulations!! So excited for your spooky lil gremlin 🖤
I recommend a Monica and Andy hat and monogrammed blanket, there are many styles to choose from. Also get plenty of pacifiers and hats. A good changing mat to take on the go.
I don't have human kids but I'm excited for this!
