Yes to part 2. The more classics you read, the more you expand your mind. That's just the way I think about it. I'm glad you enjoyed Anne of Green Gables. It's one of my favorites, too. The old PBS adaptation of the books,with Megan Follows as Anne is perfection.

I myself struggle with classics, but one that I really love is “The Little Princess” it is such a sweet yet heartbreaking story about a little girl who is just so good. Every time I read it, it makes me want to be a kinder person.
YESSS Captain Wentworth's letter to Anne kills me every time. It's iconic! My hands down favorite classic and Jane Austen!

I definitely think that reading multiple classics together helps since you're in that brain zone. I love and completely recommend the rest of the Anne of green gables series, pride and prejudice, wuthering heights!!
Oh Ashlynn! I'm so glad you loved Anne with an e ❤ I live 2 hours from Prince Edward Island and you can actually visit Green Gables! I highly recommend the 1985 TV movie it's my favorite!! Have fun reading the rest of the series😊
i first read anne of green gables, but the junior edition, when i was in elementary school. anne is like my best friend, she’s such a comfort to me and anne of green gables is the reason why i love reading ❤

What great picks! Anne is the cosiest classics for when you're sick ❤ I got to go to Prince Edward Island last year and visited the house that inspired Green Gables, it was so lovely being there! Persuasion is my favourite Jane Austen, that letter! 😍 Glad you enjoyed your time with them all! I recommend Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, it's short and funny and is her take on a gothic satire! It has my favourite Austen man in it and every time I read it, it bumps Persuasion off the top spot (until I read Persuasion again 😂). Oh and if you fancy some classic sci-fi I'd recommend John Wyndham, he's very readable! Maybe Midwich Cuckoos
I hope you and Ian feel better soon. I would love to see a part two. I read Little Women, and Anne of Green Gables as a young person. I absolutely loved both stories so much. Now, Jane Austin is the Queen. I have read and reread her books. And will probably do so for the rest of my life❤❤
I'm so glad you read these Classics. I love all of them but Anne of Green Gables has always had a special place in my heart. I first read it when I was 8 or 10. I come back to that series every once in awhile. I'm doing a reread now and am on Book 5 and am loving it. I think it may be my new favorite book in the series.
I learned from trying to read some classics that I am just not a classic reader. I can watch them easier then reading them. Glad you enjoyed Anne of Green Gables.

Now that you've read Anne of Green Gables, you need to watch the movie adaptation with Megan Follows as Anne, Colleen Dewhurst as Marilla, and Jonathan Crombie as Mathew (you will absolutely LOVE his Mathew). It is the best adaptation! 😊

Also please, please continue the series for Anne of green gables - each one is so amazing and precious!! The movie adaptation of the series with Megan Follows is the BEST!!! I watch it more than a few times a year 😅 - I will note that the third movie isn’t connected to the books but it’s still soooo good!! Also the movie adaptation of Persuasion with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry Jones is my favorite Austen movie of all time!!! Anne of Green Gables is so good. I live on the east coast of Canada and there is actually a spot on Prince Edward Island that has tourist attractions to the book. If you ever make a trip out that way I highly suggest checking it out.
I loved this video. I personally LOVE classics ❤ Books I recommend and think you would like are: Rebecca and the Picture of Dorian Gray. I think Ian would also like these. They are different than the books you’ve mentioned in this video; they are gothic literature. They are easy to read and I think you would really enjoy them. ❤

I have seen the Persuasion Netflix adaptation and I loved it and I have seen Anne with an E also on Netflix and I loved it. But I am wondering if I should read the actual books ?
If you want to follow an excellent classics booktuber look up Tristan and the Classics. His enthusiasm for literature, and books in general, is so infectious! He makes you want to read all the things!

I really think that you should read Pride and Prejudice. It’s the Jane Austen book that I would read first if I was starting out with Jane Austen. But my favorite Jane Austen book is Sense and Sensibility.

you should try reading dark or mystery thriller classics next time. i think you'll enjoy them a lot more.
I would definitely say read Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. And try some Agatha Christie. She's a mystery writer, the Queen of Crime. And Then There Were None is her most popular book.
You could try some novels by her most popular detective, Poirot. I would recommend Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.
Also, because you really liked Anne of Green Gables, I would recommend one of LM Montgomery's other series, the Emily books. There's only 3. I like those even better than the Anne books.

You should definitely do a part 2. You can read Pride and Prejudice or Emma next and the next Anne book! As another favorite classic of mine, I love The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins if you are taking suggestions. :)
