Mesabi Black® Quarry

Located near Babbitt, MN, Coldspring's Mesabi Black granite quarry has been in operation for over 20 years, produces nearly 200,000 cubic feet of granite per year and has supplied material for high-profile projects around the country. A large amount of Mesabi Black is featured on the World Trade Center site, in the form paving, curbs, sidewalks, and other architectural and landscape elements. It has also been used for notable projects such as the Kogod Courtyard at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, Target Field Station in Minneapolis, MN, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.
