- Should you say ON THE BEACH or AT THE BEACH? What about AT SEA? Learn the correct English prepositions for talking about beaches, seas, rivers, lakes, farms, fields, mountains, jungles, and more.

The Adriatic Sea is very beautiful. The water is blue and crystal clear. I really like the beaches in Croatia. I like to walk on the beach and swim in the sea.

Because you don't talk about "in the beach", Does it mean that "in the beach" is incorrect, Teacher Mike? Thank you so much
I can't imagine any situations where it would be correct. There might be a rare case in which it could mean buried underneath the sand or something.

Actually, Caspian Sea is a lake. That 'sea' word shouldn't deceive anybody :)
It has features of both seas and lakes and has long been called a sea in numerous languages. But I'm not here to argue about that.😅
These prepositions are very confusing 🤕😔😔 🌱
