In this video, we go in-depth to discuss some of the major points to consider before taking the plunge and buying your first embroidery machine.
We outline several financial tips to keep in mind, and how to think about your budgetary needs in the present and future so you can make the best decision for yourself and your wallet.
We'll also explain one of the most important factors when buying an embroidery machine: that it’s not so much the machine itself but what comes with it. Many companies try to sell you on a machine that requires you to buy a lot of expensive add-ons just to do your everyday work, so it’s crucial to find a machine that comes with an all-inclusive package.
As a new embroiderer you’re going to have to navigate the learning curve when it comes to mastering your new machine. To help you cut your learning curve in half, we'll show you a few resources you can use to learn at your own pace as you begin your custom apparel journey.

Nice video! Good explained and of course good selling points. I have been looking into ricoma for a while now and at first was thinking about the 1010 (because so far it's just me and my home crafting and sewing world) but I would also love to make some bigger items for friends and family (just for fun and to bring a smile to people who need it). But maybe later (far down the road) even make some money with my projects. So I was also looking into the 1501. I was impressed with the costumer service, the free shipping that is offered, the stand that it comes with (all those selling points you had compared to the brother machine)!!! Great offers, but some of those selling points sadly do NOT apply for us here in Germany. I was very sad and dissapointed. The stand does NOT come included with the 1010! No free shipping here! Only free pick-up! And also, the software is not included in either one of those machines. And last but not least no 24/7 customer service unless I call the US number (not sure if that would be for free then!) and the wonderful (by praised) training is only free as long as I go to the place the trainer is at. If the trainer comes to my place I have to pay or the km he/she travels. That was really a shock. Anyway! I still think it's a good machine! I still think there should not be such huges differences in the offeres for other countries!

@@ricomatv Wow! You are so kind to even answer my post. Thank you! I don't think you can do anything for me. I guess your machine will continue to be a dream for me( but I will still be watching your videos). But if you are really that confident in your machine, service etc. you should have the same quality everywhere. I my mind every customer is important (everywhere). So "BE FAIR EVERYWHERE".

What machine would be a good option to get his business logo embroidered on to golf shirts/hoodies etc? His logo is 4 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.

Get your credit into a good situation and apply for financing so you can use the money you saved up towards making the monthly payments. Then hustle and make sure you don’t have to use your reserves for making the payments but that your business can be self sustaining

i recently just bought the brother SE630 for 430$ and a bunch of materials on sale for around... alot but still we are making a bunch of random products for $1000, while the prototypes are shabby, last night we made a pretty good pair of pajamas and i can embroider the smaller 4x4s all over it if i wanted, while that is limited to sewing and small embroidery i figured its enough to advertise the idea to everyone i know and have had around 10 people interested so far. Been doing this for 2 weeks so I'd say its a good start. Although next year i was hoping to get into wood, plastics, fabrics, lazered, and almost anything requested because of my degrees and machines, 21 but the crap I'm jumping into is nuts lmao.

I know that this is a question that could be redundant and people that are using Ricoma machine should know how to do the basics, but has the industry created a automatic treader for industrial machines or has created something where it’s easier to thread a needle and do it manuallyjust curiosity thank you

If you’re going to commit time to the craft and to your business, you are bound to see some results. Make sure you’re comfortable with the low monthly payments even if you don’t get customers for a couple of months to make sure it’s within your budget.
