The newly innovated broken tap remover SFX-4000B is based on the technique of portable EDM series, it can fast remove broken taps, broken bolt, broken drill bit from hole, broken drift, broken screw, broken plug gauge, etc., without damaging to the work piece, especially process on work piece at any size, especially effective for large machine tools. The integral construction of this tap remover machine left a space for storage at the bottom of the power box which is convenient for managing the attachments. I just bought one for my Tool Room. I keep in on a plastic cart and use DI water like the wire EDM so it is a resistor of current. It work well on small taps and drills. I ordered assorted brass electrode stock from Grainger in 3' lengths, cheap.

Will this unit work upside down? I have a process where we need to remove broken bolts from frames and we can not rotate the work piece, so we must work from the bottom. If the unit will operate upside down, do you have any protective shielding for the electrode mechanism?
