- In today's video I am smoking up some baby back ribs on my pellet grill. This simple, easy, and delicious smoked baby back ribs recipe is everything you could want in a rack of ribs! Sweet, savory, and the slightest heat. Overall these smoked baby back ribs are extremely balanced and delicious! My Honey Chipotle rub really brought some wonderful flavor and color to these baby back ribs, and I highly recommend giving it a try on your ribs in the future! What do you prefer, baby back ribs, spare ribs, or St. Louis cut ribs? Let me know in the comments below!
I just want to thank everyone for their support so far and I'm so excited for what the future holds! So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

Smoked Baby Back Ribs Recipe:
Ingredients
-1 rack of baby back ribs
-Ash Kickin' BBQ Honey Chipotle Rub (link below)
-Tailgater's BBQ Party Rub (link below)
-Butter
-Vinegar sauce
-Pucks Whiskey Apricot BBQ Sauce (I'll post a link when it's available)
Instructions
Prep:
1. Remove baby back ribs from packaging, pat dry, and trim off any loose ends or hard fat.
2. Remove the membrane on the bottom of the baby back ribs.
3. Season the bottom side of the ribs first with Party Rub, then apply a heavier coating of Honey Chipotle.
4. Flip the ribs over and repeat the process on the meat side.
5. Allow 10-20 minutes for the rub to start sweating into the meat.
Cooking
1. Set the temperature to 275º F.
2. Put the baby back ribs on the smoker and let them smoke for 1-2 hours.
3. Once the rub has set and the color on the baby back ribs is where you want it, remove from the smoker and wrap.
4. To wrap, use 4 tablespoons of butter, put the ribs on top of the butter meat side up, and then cover with vinegar sauce, then wrap the ribs tight and return to the smoker for 15 minutes.
5. After 15 minutes, open the foil and flip the baby back ribs over so the meat side is down. Wrap back up and continue cooking until the baby back ribs are tender.
6. Once the baby back ribs are tender (approximately 203-206º) remove from foil and put on the smoker for about 5 minutes to let the surface dry out and bring the color back.
7. After 5 minutes, sauce the baby back ribs and then allow the glaze to set for approximately 5-10 minutes. Keep checking it periodically so the ribs don't get too dark.
8. After the sauce has set, remove the baby back ribs from the smoker and let rest for approximately 10-15 minutes, then slice and enjoy!

Darrin- your recipes are awesome. I’m new to smoking (bought a traeger this past labor day sale) . I found your channel and have been making a lot of your recipes since then. None of them disappoint. I’m not much of a cook, but my family thinks I’m a rockstar. Thank you for your efforts in making these videos. Very much appreciated. And Keep ‘Em Coming

Tennessee Red is so good. I’m hooked on vinegar sauce. I’m like you, spares are my favorite, but I bought some baby backs to cook this week, just for a change up.
Ten Red is AMAZING!!
Looking forward to getting a bottle of that whisky apricot sauce down here in Texas to try it out, will keep an eye out for that link.
Awesome brother! It's great!

Hey so quick question and sorry if you have already done it but could you do a video that is only dedicated to vinegar sauces, glazing sauces, etc.? Also cannot wait to get your new rub man keep up the hard work
Thanks brother! I can definitely try to schedule some sauce videos for over the winter months!
Great looking ribs. This year for Christmas and Thanksgiving family gathering, I will be doing ribs instead of a boston butt. Keep smoking.
Thanks Doug!
When did you start selling your own rub? I would buy anything that you had. I am so stoked that you have your own brand now. 👍
Thanks brother! It came out about a month and a half ago now. It was a long process but I'm so glad it's finally to market. Thank you for your kind words and support!
perfect i got 6 racks in the fridge waiting to go now
Just ordered your Rub and the Tailgaters party Rub as well cant wait to use them!!!! keep the great content coming look forward to each video
Thank you so much for the support brother, it really does mean a lot!
The first video you did on Baby Backs was a 300 degree cook, which do you think works better for you
I usually always cook my ribs at 300°, heck I usually cook everything at 300°, I just switch it up for CZcams.
Thanks giving it a try tonight @@AshKickinBBQ
What about cooking these low and slow at 225? Seems like many are cooking these at higher temperatures.
Cook them however you’d like, that’s the beauty of BBQ. My newest video is no wrap ribs cooked at lower temps. I just prefer hot n fast.
@@AshKickinBBQ will no wrap baby back ribs cook quicker than spare ribs at 225 and no wrap? Trying to gauge a cook time for family coming over. Thanks!!!
@@jhwk9575 they would probably take the same amount of time, approximately
I would like to know, how do you pick up ribs sitting at 205 with your hands?
Liners under the rubber gloves. Protects from the heat
Cool Where do you get those? I've never seen them.
@@fusfea they are normal cotton glove liners. You can get them on Amazon cheap, and then just put a normal rubber glove over them. You may have to step up a size on the rubber gloves to make sure they fit over the cotton liners.
How long total did these ribs take to cook?
Lol I said it in the video, and gave a time breakdown as I went.
Where can I order some rubs?
Link is in the description
What Traeger are you using?
This is the ironwood 885
@@AshKickinBBQ Thanks! Great videos too!
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Baby Back Ribs on my page too and *your dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected! 😀
Don’t see any baby backs on your page, but thanks.
The dog is peaking over the edge... what about my taste test he says?
Haha, she always gets one off camera
Dumb question, but are "fall off the bone" ribs frowned upon in the bbq community?
Well, I am a firm believer in cooking food however YOU like it. That being said, it's harder to nail a perfectly done rib than it is to overcook it for the fall of the bone. But like I said, if you enjoy it...do it! You paid for your food and it's no ones business how you cook it brother.
