  • Today we've got a couple fresh faces in our studio to talk about some great value amplifiers. Jasmine and Andrea both work here at Alamo Music, both play guitar, and are both very opinionated on the tones that they like. Luckily, both the LT25 and GTX50 allow for virtually endless tone shaping and design. Take a listen to their rundown and let us know which one you like more!

The Fender Mustang LT25 is thee best beginner amp, that little LCD screen and its tuner helped me so much when I first started out a few months, I’m looking into upgrading to that GTX 50 soon

Nice presentation. Welcome! I have a GTX50 and, as a beginner, I like that it models amps and voices from the history of music. Right on my iPhone, there’re presets for the sound of Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Eagles, John Scofield, Pete Townshend, Derek Trucks, and many more. Plus you can model amps and speakers manufactured throughout the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. And pedals galore. All that without having to touch a dial. Or … know anything about amplifiers. I’m proof of that. But over a year, I’ve learned so much. One last thing, it has an acoustic guitar amp model that is clean and perfect for that type of guitar. Although … I like to be bold with my Taylor.

This is a fresh breeze we needed in this kind of demos/reviews. Jazz and Andrea did a very nice job and I'm sure that they will get better as soon as they get more experience. I enjoyed the talk and demos and look forward to watching more videos from them. I reckon it makes a big difference and will appeal to many young people learning guitar and the not so syoung as me as well 😉

Well, I invite you take a look at Chris's videos from five years ago and Cooper's videos from last year or so. I've been playing for more than 50 years and I've been in many bands and owned a lot of different amps, and the LT25 is one of the best sounding amps that I've ever owned for low volume playing at home. As with all my favorite amps, I prefer using it with one of the clean amp models with one of my favorite OD pedals in front of it, intead of using the dirt on the amp

Nice job ladies. Bought the LT25 and really like it. Bought after looking at Spark, Boss, etc similar amps. Not meant to blow the neighbors door off its hinges, but more than enough for a standard size room. You do need a data transmission capable USB micro male to whatever (USB/Lightning) port is on your computer/phone. You can use the Fender Tone to see your pedals etc. on screen. Also you need the chart in the manual to match up their presets with the actual amp; i.e. the "60s Rock" is modeling the Vox AC30, etc. Good value for the price I think. The LT50 I think has even more presets and is wireless BT capable if that moves the needle for you.

I started buying her all the guitar stuff and now it lit my fire for guitars again! I might have to get two one for me and one for my niece. We're not rich so I got her stuff from the pawn shop, but if I get some extra money then yea I will get two.

Great video, very humble and liked the vibes. I just sold my lt25 and got a gtx100. Biggest difference is sheer volume, I couldn't hear my lt25 over my buddies drum kit so the gtx has all the power I need, having a 12" speaker and an open back cabinet helps the sound fill the room. The nice thing is that the gtx still plays fairly well at low volumes so you get the best of both worlds. Good for beginner/intermediate guitar players like me.

i have the mustang lt25, it's a nice upgrade from the Fender Frontman 10G which is there budget cheap amp. this one can be had for $150 and under depending on where you look.
The MGX is nice for an amp, but i wouldn't exactly look at that one as a budget amp. I've seen prices average between $199 and $299, you can go all up to $399 if you go with the 100 watt version. most people wouldn't need something like that, unless your gigging.

I was refunded and I ended up buying a Spark mini and Bias FX2 from the same brand
The sound of the speaker is not the best but it is so much more complete than the mustang.
For someone who is just starting out I would recommend a spark mini, it's more than enough unless you play live or you are a tone snob and can’t live without your tube amp

How about simply saying that these amps sound pretty good for the money. That's honest. And amp tone is a personal taste and the tones from these amps can be tasty to someone who likes that flavor. But to act like Line 6 doesn't make some great products is stupid. And not only are they one of pioneers of modeling when Fender was still pushing the same lousy sounding solid state amps for the same price, but have come a long ways since they began making Spiders. And these amps don't sound that good regardless. Someone would be better off with a Catalyst imo.

So you mean LEKATO can make a portable amp and plug your phone into it and record and Sounds great! *GUITAR AMPS* (finally &accurately) *EXPLAINED*
    (See vid link below)
    Perfect. Hugely useful video.
As I am wndring is 1x12" celestion no stereo superiour to 2 6" that (has) stereo.
    What d'you think??
ThMarshall seemed totally inappropriate not being stereo which was perfect in illustrating verifying a stereos MASSIVE leverage. Was extrodinarily helpful vid.
People need 2stop buying flat mono amps I was th1 began preaching stereo 35 years ago. (U cant even make this stuff up. Mono amps mercillesly worshipped entire past century? Really?)
I want true (TRUE) stereo not psuedo marketing snake stereo.
I want (MUST also have) also SURROUND SOUND technology.
Didnt think i would make out thstereo thru a you tube vid but especially in a couple modes i... definitely... could... oh yea that Fender stereo vs thflat sounding 1speaker Marshall.
I think Grid 40 too muddy lower notes? How d'u spell duh. As if company dont know that.
In contrast Fender boys seem especially crisp in studio quality sensitivity amps.
2many amps dont pickup th absolutely massive detail embellishments i pack in2 only 1note. I mean they downright ERASE THEM.
(Neither does my potatoe mic. but see my attempt play Buckethead vid Y.T.)
"As th amplifier king of kings..."
..i can define definition of a benchmark epicentre amp in 1 word. "Studio speakers." U want that in an amp. Fender, i think seems 2grasp this "concept" more then other (idi*ts) I been hearing.
    Seems obvious there4:
Grid 40 amp personnel? ..deliberately downloaded 2much unanimously acknowledged thumbs down muddiness 2cripple buyers delibetately as a means 2 materialize a demon they could later delete, quench& or "upgrade."
Plus their so called apps smtimes more ads 4paid upgrades then apps that actually wrk.
Stop buying from companies that divide ideal in 12 slices of pie each1 lacking so as 2keep customers hungry in2 buying yet another slice of "ideal" = factory stocked with 12 comprimised models 2increase stock& profits.
These are egineer "appetizers" advertise with marketing sugar highs that once u buy in2 them, product only function 2increase hunger.
Lol there should be 3sizes amps only period worldwide engineered 2 th overwhelmingly obvious (by now, after 100 &*$#ing years?)
...ideals. (Re read the above "definition of an amp.")
Note an amp needs2 speakers that... seperate. Get it?
    ITS A STEREO.
Speakers either side u head. Period. Everytime.
Positive Grid butted 2speakers 3mm apart in their Spark Mini. I think I know deliberate snake engineering when I see it lolmost.
Note an amp needs a feature wherein u can upload/record/save any sound or song BOTH via a mic., and via a wire/bluetooth so u can play along it.
    Wow.
    "What a concept."

I prefer Chris and Cooper, but Chris could learn something from Andrea about positioning. She managed to avoid the guitar-neck-sticking-out-of-the-head-look.
Hopefully these ladies will grow into it (I found they mumbled a bit), but it's early days.
