I didn't think much of it as a kid but the entire sequence starting at 3:06 is incredible. as an adult it shocks me to think that they could make the song sound so clear and accurate to club dance music of that era on a 64 cartridge. so incredibly memorable

I feel like Beanland was given a mission to make "idk dude it's a club so generic techno" and he went "nah fam. It'll be generic techno in genre name only imma make a banger". It's one of the like ten first electronic tracks I heard and I've been a lifetime electronic fan since said ten.
It's no generic techno, its part Acid House, Part Deep House, and during the synth and hi-hat playtime starting from 3:09, a whole lot of trance. This one transcends genres, he overdelivered massively.

From what I’ve heard, the Spooky level was supposed to also have a ‘Blade’ homage with a dance club (sans anything caveman-themed) and Don Weazo (the Mafioso Boss Weasel) was supposed to head it. They had other homages set to the Uga Buga level, like Jurassic Park, etc. and it would’ve been relatively the same. So, it’s no coincidence this track sounds like “Blood Is Pumping” by Voodoo and Serrano, the club track heard in ‘Blade’.
Bass is a bit weak in this version :/ Sound quality is awesome. That first bass drop is ass compared to other videos with crap sound quality. The bass sounds good in other parts. But it does not have the oomph it should for the first drop. Legit a perfect upload aside from the weak bass st certain points.
Hm, CC34 determines the IIR Filter cutoff frequency using a pretty linear transfer function, as far as I can hear. But did you interpret CC33 which seems to influence the filter Q? Is it linear as well or is it on a dB range? And what's its maximum value when setting CC33=127 ?

The bi-quad implementation of the LPF is applied to each individual sample, not to the whole track, and it is tied to the sample’s base note. It is for this reason that the only way to properly render the music is to write your own synthesizer (which I call Nintendo Synthy-4). Any other synthesizer you use is going to apply effects to the whole track. For your easier browsing, here are a few useful variables. m_sSettings.dLpfOffset = 1.0 in Conker’s Bad Fur Day (10.0 in Jet Force Gemini). m_sSettings.dLpfScalar is just 1.0. _dBaseFrequency is 22018.

I plan to add an easy-to-use interface this year but for now you will need Visual Studio 2022 and have to change a bunch of paths to get it to convert.
