One day I may even learn to spell! 😂
Doubt it
We all make mistakes don't worry about it, you and your wife speak very intelligently, welcome to the US.
This is actually true....because as a UK RN, I have to do overtime work just to make ends meet for me andy family. My sis in the US is a RN and she NEVER has to do overtime. She travels like 3 to 4 times per year as well!!🤷🏾♀️
Thanks for confirming. Many do not believe when we mention this difference.
My sister was last in the UK in 1999. I once told her to come back to visit... 😂. She said "why? It's grey, dull, dirty, the weather is crap, there's nowhere exciting to visit and it's crowded".... I couldn't really argue. Tbh, there are more cities in just the state of Florida that I'd move to than the whole of the UK. 😂.
Love hearing the differences. Thanks for sharing.
Great video guys. Enjoying the new format. Very informative.
Thanks!
Very interesting video Thank you!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congrats my friends, enjoy having you here.
As always, thanks Will :)
Congratulations on two years in Las Vegas. Your videos are always spot on.
Thanks Sabrina!
Another good vid. I like the quality Haha. This video seemed like you wanted to move back to the UK, though. Pure cons to the US. 😂 Your newer ones you have definitely adapted. Keep up the posts!
congrats on your 2 years anniversary guys.. I always dream when I watch your videos, thank you for sharing and all the best always. Sal
Thanks so much!! We do really hope it works out for you. Have a look into the EB2 NIW, that may be an avenue you can pursue. We are going to do an updated series on how to move, and plan to cover that visa in that series.
@@ANTSEL thank you so much I really appreciate it 🙏
I love your Channel. Yall are a beautiful couple. Very positive Channel. Just started following Yall. Yes I am a Southern Man in New Orleans Louisiana. From South Carolina
Thank you so much 🤗 we are going to New Orleans for the time in the next couple of weeks. Can’t wait!
@ANTSEL let me know I would love to buy you lunch
Being in Vegas, you guys are near (relatively speaking) a lot of really neat things like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and some of the other national parks that are like nothing you've ever seen.
We are. We visited Yosemite last year and it was amazing! It is nice having such great access.

Arches, Zion, Bryce are truly incredible and Antelope Canyons are amazing too!
Burning Man is a must in September too if you can get tickets, incredible!
Congrats on your 2 journey guys. You are a lovely couple. Best of wishes for the future guys.❤️
I’m still contemplating whether I should or not..🙏
Thank you so much!! We say, do it!! :)
Having relocated UK to US with international employer, Americans typically take super short breaks as the norm is 10-15 days annual vacation allowance, and sick days often come out of that allowance, even in big/good companies, and no statutory paid maternity leave. It is a huge work cultural difference. Americans can’t believe how many vacation days Europeans get. I was able to carry over my UK 30 days allowance after relocating.
We understand everyone's experience is different in the US. We share our experience and recognise we are very fortunate that the company I work for is really great when it comes to vacation and sick days, plus their benefits. I have definitely seen a shift in US companies to more flexible working and more vacation days.
The technology gets me too I thought America would be so far ahead of the UK!! The cheques and everything in the post is so funny also how people are still not really into using contactless 😂 Congrats on 2 years I'm coming up on 1 year ☺️
And congrats on your first year :) That is another good one with the contactless payments!
England doesnt have drive in banks and ATMs … so there. And my card has tap. Plus your cards don’t have protections on them like we do.
No way is US property tax better for owners than Stamp Duty. You pay stamp duty once on purchase, a few %. In US you pay 1.5, 2, in some states 3-4% of house value ANNUALLY as a tax, and it goes up in line with property value over the years. Even when your mortgage is paid off, you owe the property tax forever, even in retirement or unemployment. Bigger expense than the mortgage payments in some states, over time.
Also, if you rent your US property out, you still pay the property tax as owner, whereas in UK the tenant renting the house pays the council tax.
Property taxes are tax deductible from your income tax in America. You can deduct them along with any mortgage interest you pay from your federal income tax.
Go to the state of Hawaii beautiful it is.
We keep meaning to visit. We hear lots of good things about Hawaii.
WHat do you mean - in the US you must have a car to get away? What about Greyhound Bus system? You can go just about any where on Greyhound. And it's not very expensive.
Grayhound is full of crackheads .
Digital is frightening.
The US still using some form of non digitized documentation is a good thing actually. If the Electic grid goes down everything wont be lost. As far as the media is concerned, it didnt start to get as bad as it is until the 2016 elections, then it got bad.
Just so you know, if the electric grid goes down it is not lost, only access to where it is stored. Most IT systems are fairly robust in backing up data, paper is the worst way to go if the concern is loss of information. Hurricane Katrina was a great example why going digital is needed.
Almost every single thing you discussed in this video comes down to money. The US way of life is focused on money. Lower taxes...more money to spend. Give extra tips...the employee will usually spend that money. Private healthcare makes companies tons of money and employs thousands of workers. Take vacations...spend money. Spin the news to gain viewers and make more money on the companies that advertise.
Ooo that is an interesting observation which is true!
Agreed 100%…. If you have a steady income and can afford any additional costs with healthcare, you can live a comfortable life in the States. However, if you’re like most people, it can be hard to keep up with rising cost of living and the constant fear of losing healthcare. I have been in that situation more than once, and it’s extremely stressful. All because of layoffs, which are becoming more frequent in the US
Agreed. There is a lack of safety net here and a punishing system if you fall on hard times. The impact of losing a job here is far worse.
The lack of digitisation in America always surprises me, you literally invented the software 😂 but don’t use it.
Eventually they will start using their own technology, lol.
are you not worried about everyone having a gun. the gun crime is working for a brit.
Obviously we are aware that people could have a gun on them but day to day we are not experiencing issues with that. I guess the gun culture in Vegas is not as bad as some other States but to answer your question no.
Having a gun is actually comforting
@@wisdomasculture3173 not really when any crackhead or mentally insane person can get one so easily
We don't all have guns.
I know. but a lot of crazy dummies do @@jaxxon98
