If you book direct with Qatar yourself you get a "meal preference" option under manage your booking and seat selection / special requests. I am not sure if they actually serve your selection but just for future reference. And obviously if you book via a agent this may not be possible.

Qatars service is on a decline according to aviation vloggers. It's really sad because I have booked with them for the first time to fly next year. I normally fly direct with Biman or go with Emirates.
Itâs not that bad actually. All U need to know what to ask for . Good luck .

Because it was not a free ride . I had to pay the flight fare 3200 USD for the 30 hours journey . The crew are there to help the travellers . They are not annoyed to help passengers in need.
