In this video I paint a lake scene with watercolors. It was inspired by the prompt “On the Water”, which is one of the most relaxing places to be. I used light washes of each color first to help map out where everything was going to go and then went back in with layers of darker colors/shades to help build the shadows. This gives it a sense of depth and a nice range of values. Lastly, I added the tiny birds in the distance as another focal point. I hope you enjoy this video and feel relaxed by the end of it 😊
