      I’m on the fence with this one and don’t always find it discriminating. If the position requires all of the travel, hours and physical demands for the candidate, then someone that is pregnant wouldn’t be the best fit if they can’t do the job required. I don’t necessarily find that discriminating. They made it work in the video, so maybe the initial demands and requirements, mentioned in the interview before she said she was pregnant, had changed. Either way, great video as usual!

      @@EnriqueSanchez I disagree with you and agree with her husband, the man whom she talked on phone to. Particularly, he told her that it's Universe saved her from such a company. When your boss-in-future tells you that you need to put your personal life to back seat and work 24/7 then you should perceive his words literally, believe me. Okay, maybe not literally 24/7 but nearly 13/6 and 12 hours in Sunday. So, when we hear such a thing we should run as fast as we can. After all, people work to support their families, for fulfilling their dreams. To die at working place for the glory of company definitely isn't someone's dream

      @@user-rf4hp3xs4i the boss would have gotten in trouble if he fired her for being pregnant. but on hiring process he can make up another reason not to hire her to cover the main reason. so it would have been better if she kept it a secret at least until she was working.

      @@EnriqueSanchez a red flag here is "work 24/7 and put your life to back seat", no matter if it is a pregnant woman or just a man. After all, there are a lot of health issues beyond pregnancy, from dentists till surgery, and men in that company are probably also mistreated as well. So, if you hear "to be available 24/7" then no need to tell about pregnancy, just "okay, I need to think more" and never come back.

    @gummydino1793 Před 2 lety +34

    I commented on one of these videos awhile back saying that “I thought these videos missed the point” After having watched many more videos from paradigm I would like to reaffirm my point.
    These videos always try to take a very goalcast approach where they have this massive issue that needs to be talked about and they try to do it in a very emotional and creative way with there example. The ISSUE is that, unlike goalcast or other people that do a similar video style as this, channel is very good at making these issues almost comical. The scenarios they give aren’t personable and lack a type of pathos that would allow the audience to connect better with the content.
    Don’t misunderstand me, I agree with the general message of the videos, but the videos are so far from being personable and intimate with the audience that it actually is coming off as more comical than anything else. Which I don’t think paradigm is trying to make fun of the issues?
    Anyways y’all are free to disagree with me, but my 2 cents on these videos is that they need to be looked at more critically for if the type of emotion they are creating in scenes is appropriate. This is how I think this channel could improve its content for both us, as the viewer, and really be able to compete with some of the bigger channels out there.

      I agree 100%. As a personal rule of mine, I don't address my concern over CZcamss like this, but I've been watching these videos for a couple days now, and I need to give a little criticism of my own here.
      Now, your intentions are good, they're very good, and as someone who truly believes we need to treat and respect people the way we expect to be treated, we need these kind of CZcamss. What I object to is the very heavy-handed and overdramatic fashion they are presented. They come across as very preachy and moralizing, like an episode of Diff'rent Strokes or Facts of Life... I expected Mr. Drummond or Mrs. Garrett to pop in unexpectedly and hammer home the "life lesson of the day".
      I know your intention is to educate and inform. I get it and appreciate it, and so do a good deal of the viewers here, based on all these positive reviews. And the actors involved are fine, IMO. But if you want to reach out to the more jaded viewers, try to tone down the heavy dramatic tone a bit. Some viewers would get turned off by that in a hurry. Also, try not to wrap everything up in a shiny package. In my life experiences, not all issues are solved in 10 minutes (or 4 months, as some videos suggest.) Also, try to leave some stories open-ended. Let the audience decide what the outcome should be.
      Outside of my concerns, I think you guys are doing a wonderful job with these CZcamss. The actors are fine, the technical aspects professionally done, the subject matters are handled well, if just a little over the top. I say, keep up the good work.

On the other hand he should told her at the beginning of she is pregnant how is she expecting to work or how will she prepare for it so in way I see it. I do like your videos but I do not like the way they end because of the factor is this the reality is it's not the truth it doesn't show the truth of the reality that it doesn't work out in the end for the person that is struggling the person that gets disregarded disrespected but it so happens in your video that they become CEO or the boss realizes the mistake they made because it's not that way they could care less and you're less sitting at home wishing that they would see the way they have acted and treated people but they don't and you want to put a happy ending on every video that you have when the truth and the reality they will never see or care that it's not always a happy ending because it really isn't but in your videos you want to make it like it is when it isn't I think you should make it more realistic and have the ending show what really actually happens
