Nice to know I am not the only one who picks up the headers and makes funny engine noises with them.🤣😂🤣
Dude, this is the best tuner content on youtube… it saddens me i was today years old when i found you!! 🤣 fuck yea dude, send it! 🤘🏽💀
Dude I love the sound, almost like a mini V8. 😂
Great Video, was really fun watching you goofing around.
this is the best content ive seen in a while both entertaining and learning 😂.
@@gridengine ofc man, I know this may sound crazy but I have the exact same 2002 honda ex sedan myself. I had just got it a week ago and its my first car. only thing is that its an automatic since i have no idea how to drive manual, however I appreciate your content because I learn a bit more about my car and what kind of upgrades I can do for cheap. I hope you keep posting your civic more.
We are just getting started 💪💪 and what a cool first car! Even the autos can be a lot of fun 🤘🤘
@@gridengine thanks i appreciate it, is it cool if i can chat on insta maybe get your opinion on certain mods just in case i run into something down the line. I’m not speaking in terms of rn or everyday but id like to get your opinion on what i should do etc when i decide to begin down that road.
Yeah man! That’s why we have an insta! The car community is one of the best 💪💪
Yo, glad to see this video come up! Been waiting on it since you told me you had something special planned for the exhaust. I got the same stereo as you guys as well after last video, and found out how to use apple carplay if you guys still haven’t
Hell yeah, these headers are the best, Inferno Fabs did an awesome job with mine, long wait times but i highly recommended him!
How long did you end up waiting? I’m having trouble communicating with Steven, he’s saying they shipped but cannot provide me a tracking number, and it’s all sounding very strange. Hope I can get some clarification here
Honestly man… he told us that ours were shipped several different times as well… not sure why. It kind of worried us as well, but eventually, after bothering him once or twice a month, he did actually ship them, and provide a tracking number.
@@gridengine well I’m glad to know it’s not a pure scam, just really bad time management
Yeah… he’s a single dad running an entire online business. We were willing to cut him a lot of slack because of that. 🤗
FINALLY. I thought it would never arrive. It's beautiful. 😢 What do you guys think? Worth the price/wait?
RIGHT?? And hell yes dude! So totally worth it. I’m our humble opinion, this is the #1 best way to make a civic sound like anything other than a tin can 😂😂
This thing sounds really good. Wow! Keep up the great work guys. I will be doing some of your mods in the future.
I have a boosted EM2 and I have fuel upgrades left to do before I can unleash the car's full power. Yes I do have forged rods and pistons. Lol.
Bro that’s so sick!! You think you could get these headers to work with your turbo setup?
@@gridengine I would love for that to happen, however my current setup will not allow it. With some serious modification it could though. Keep pushing out content, you guys are the best!
Thank you so much dude! So happy to have a boosted fella like yourself aboard!
These are unequal length. I'm going to make unequal volume and see if we get the same result. Cause it's so cool but i'm not making a loop just one fat pipe
probably easier with the rest of the downpipe to be removed from the cat back. relieving Tension.
Might wanna run heat wrap on the headers no? Without the heat shield heat wrap would help a lot
Hey bro I want to put the headers on but do not want an exhaust I want to keep it lowkey. Will it still sound like an sti like engine wise?? Coz I’m just looking for the engine noise in front of me
You’ll get a little bit of rumble, but if you still have the full stock exhaust on behind it, you will hear very very little. Perhaps if you got a high flow performance muffler, then you would get the low-key STI sound you were looking for
Would you guys be able to make one for a 2017 Honda HRV 1.8l Ivtec SOHC ?!
We did not make this one, but the link to the guy who does make them is in the description! Check his site and see if he offers one for that engine.
I have a 2002 civic LX are all headers the same, will they work on whatever model of the 2002 sedan civics?
On the website there are two options: d17a1 and d17a2. I believe the LX’s have the a1
Hello. I was just wondering what kind of anti seize to use for the sensors. And would the antiseize be adviasable to all the exhaust bolts. My oem spring bolts on the collector side of the manifold ended up snapping because of rust weld.Would it also be alright to just delete it and just put normal heat treated bolts that would fit in the holes
Any kind of antiseize should do the trick. And the spring bolts are important for the flexibility of the exhaust. You might have to bite the bullet and get new ones 😕
@@gridengine thankyou thankyou. I have everything fitted and this will be my last step
That'd dose really sound Hella good like wrx suburu nice exaust pipe setup I'm definitely interested in getting one of these baby setup for my Frankenstein Civic Lx-Vtec2 1.7l a question where do I get one of those exaust setup 😀 😄 😉
If you want one for your “frankenhonda”, you should go to the link in the description 🫵👌
I have a 05 civic and want to get new headers cause they look clean asf do I have to remove the catalytic converter as well?
Not if you have the EX. But if you have any other trim, the cat is part of the exhaust manifold so the UEL header will replace the cat.
@fruitydudexD the website has a separate listing for the other trim levels 👌
For the gasket on the bottom of the headers, what’s the name of the gasket? I search it up but those multiple with multiple sizes
It’s usually just called an “exhaust gasket”. Have you tried going into an auto parts store and explaining where it is on the exhaust to them?
@@gridengine Yeah they ended up sending me the wrong one and had to return it. Im about to put on my headers soon and just hope that the gasket was intact like yours
We’re sorry to hear that man! Usually those lower rounded gaskets don’t fall apart too bad.
Nice video! It sounds like a subie (all of us love that sound). I’m from Costa Rica and I have a R18 Civic. If I put UEL headers on it, will the check engine come on after installation?
Throw these on a K swapped subaru and you could really mess with some people. Thanks for sharing
It actually sounded pretty damn good! Just curious though. Does it perform worse, better or the same as the stock header?
I have a 2015 wrx with the FA20 in it (stock) and they come with equal length headers and turboed from the factory. I’m not digging the normal sounding 4 cylinder and wanted to go with an aftermarket unequal length header but all the Subaru guys say they actually loose horse power, two of the cylinders burn hotter than the other two, it’s got more boost lag and they have to have a new tune if you add one. It bums me out because I loved the sound of my Sti hatch and my old blob eye but it would be stupid to pay for a header just to loose horsepower and then have to pay money for a re tune just to have the sound.
Long story short I’d love to have the sound back but the cons outweigh the pros sadly, but my son is wanting a Honda and he loves the EJ sound because that’s what he was raised in as a baby till now at almost 15 so I know he’s gonna want that sound on his Honda and wanted to know the pros and cons for them.
Simon actually had a 2015 wrx with aftermarket parts and an e-tune so he knows quite a bit! YES UEL HEADERS ON YOUR FA20 WILL LOSE YOU POWER, however, cars are meant to make us smile, and if that awesome uel sound will make you smile more than the 10-20 extra horsepower, then GO FOR IT MAN! (Just make sure you get a tune to match the modifications on your car to prevent damage to the engine.)
In regards to your son’s Honda, they don’t have turbos so damaging the engine with uel headers isn’t really a concern. They may lose a little power, but not enough to notice. 💪💪
Still waiting on mine... how long did yours take to ship?
We’re pretty sure that infernofab is the only company that makes them for these cars…
@gridengine you're right about that. I was talking about used infernofab headers or finding someone who can custom fab around here
Ohhhh Gocha. Yeah someone who does custom work could definitely make you a set!
Nice one bro...i have the sMe car em2....its possible that you can put Y8 manifold to em2 and tutorial...can you put the website where you ordes this headers
The website is linked in the description 🤗 not sure what you mean by “the Y8 manifold”..?
You can swap out the d17 plastic manifold with the d16y8 intake manifold making the car feel more responsive. It’s also better for boosting and running more than like 10 psi if even.
It’s not a direct fit, there is some elbow grease in it for the first time. Took me like a week. But worth it.
I dunno how far you plan on going but if you get the ecu kpro you can d16y8 cam and rocker swap it to have real vtec. But hell yeah love you stuff keep it up 💪
Is there Anywhere else I can find them? I’ve been searching all over and I can’t find them anywhere . The link expired as well . Thanks , love the videos btw
Dude I just checked and I think his website is down! Let me email him and see what’s up
Hey dude! Good news! The website is back up so the link should work again 💪💪
@@gridengine bro thank you soo much , I’ve been searching all over Facebook with no hope! Thanks again
Where to get this header guys?
@@gridengine thanks brother ..because i'm planning to get a subie 2018 wrx not the sti . .i just want to make it sound like an sti is that possible?
If you’re getting a WRX, it will already have unequal length headers on it from the factory.
I feel like the opportunity to be “sEXti” was missed 😢 lol or even “sEXtiest” just sayin. Great vid!
Fair warning to anyone buying these headers, I ordered mine in December 2nd 2022 and I still have not received them.
Yes. The wait times are unreliable and long. But in our case, we found the final product to be completely worth it. Also, the manufacturer responds to emails. It might not hurt to give him your order number and see where he’s at with it.
@@gridengine oh I've been contacting him for a while, he sent a tracking number almost 2 months ago and UPS still has not received any packages with that number
Would be better if it was for a 1998 civic or 2000
Yeah that gen is definitely cooler… we wish infernofab made a set for that gen 😭
Mrs Rachel? Quiet little mouse
OH… MY… GOD. Didn’t think we would see that day where someone got the reference!!! 😂😂😂 we are so happy to have you fellow father!
@johnrivera9701 same here dude 😂😂 Simon’s daughter can’t go a day without some Mrs. Rachel! 💪
i loved the video! for anyone wanting them for other models not listed all i need is OEM manifolds for measurement. shit even a cheap knockoff header is fine as long as it fits properly. i will change my flange for all future builds to better match the spring bolts. i personally always delete them.
Dude we’re so happy you watched! Pinned your comment so everyone will (hopefully) see it! Awesome job on the headers. Such a great product! 💪
Need this for a 2017 Honda HRV 1.8L 🚗💨
@EastCoastMafia_NY we think every Honda needs a set of these 😂😂💪
Some for 90-93 accord f22a1 would sell good
@dakotabeeson he sells some f series UEL headers on his site! Go check it out!
