    Hello Sir, nice finish with those two caps, but I just don’t see how they’re worth the price. I’ve seen a lot of your videos where you use the UPOL, and I’ve seen better finishes for less. That’s one brand where if I get a chance to shoot it, I would, but not to purchase. Informative as always Sir, thank you, cheers

      Hi Bryan, I have to agree. There really doesn't seem to be any benefits to paying the silly price these things are now being marketed at.
      I'm as guilty as any for paying it, I will say in its defence that it's a lovely gun to use mainly because of its light weight and it capable of good finishes, just very overpriced , cheers buddy 👍

      Hi Buddy, no, they are the same. It is just the base of the gun that changed from the 360 Lite to the Evo

    Hi Pete, looks like you uploaded this one a bit earlier today as I got to watch it the same day😎👍you probably know by now but it was Gabe from Motivated Painters that worked with Walcom to develop the MP cap I follow him and he mentioned it in one of his videos when he was developing the cap🤓
    You can see a slight difference in the finish between the 2 caps but I don't think a customer would be able to tell if you painted a wing with the MP then a door next to it using the HTE cap, it's about the same as the difference between the C1 and C2 caps on the DV1 but as you say the price of these caps is ridiculous, mind you all the extra setups for all the high end guns are not cheap🙄🤦‍♂
    Yet again I've hurt my back so I'm struggling to get the last tank done using your guns Pete, I did the WoW on it yesterday (Saturday) I've done nothing today but I hope to get the base and clear done before Wednesday as I wont be able to do any painting on Wednesday as more real life stuff is stopping me😠😤😂
    Thanks Pete👍

      Hi John, yes mate, only went up a hour ago and you were right in there 😁.
      Yes, I think it was you that said it was Motivated Painters that helped develop it.
      I think the difference is less with these two than the C1 & C2 Devilbiss DV1 caps to be honest, if both these were used in the same way, so holding the HTE cap closer I think there would be no difference 🤔
      Sorry to hear your laid up again mate, hopefully things will improve soon 🙏 👍

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 Před 8 měsíci

      Ah right so if the difference is less than that of the C1 v C2 cap then there isn't much point buying it not that I will as I don't have a gun to put it on🙄😂plus if you can get the same result by holding the HTE closer then it's a no brainer, maybe sometime you can do a video using the HTE mate to see what you think🤭
      Thanks mate I'm sure it will improve soon if not I'll get Sonia to finish my tank using your guns😱🤣👍

      Hi Buddy, Yeah, I think it is there may be a very slight difference but its minimal and I'm sure the HTE would catch up it you modified the spray distance a little.
      I read somewhere a wile ago someone saying the MP takes the finish to another level, well, they are clearly above my level or they are, as you say, just clever marketing 🙄 , cheers mate, thanks for watching 👍

    My friend Pete, first off happy new year! I am trying to run an electric guitar workshop, I ve found your channel recently and I ve probably seen all your videos like twice! I wish I knew your channel earlier ! I ve got an Italco gloss 1.3, was like 170 euros, Even though its "useable" it's not what I needed, going through your videos helped me realise what I really need was something like an LPH 80 1.2... I do tinted varnishes, different colours on the same piece, fades etc, the overspray can destroy my workpiece... Thanks for all your efforts and energy you put into this! For me your channel made a big difference! If you think you would suggest something different than the Lph 80 for what I do, it could really help me, I also got an ANI r160-q 0.8 for smaller repairs after I ve watched your videos, so I ll keep the italco 1.3 for primers and base coats, the lph for tinted and top coats and the ani r160-q for smaller repairs like a heavy duty airbrush. My best wishes for a colourful 2024! Your friend Manos from Greece!

      Hi Manos, Yes, happy new year my friend.
      It's good to hear the channel has helped you. It's the whole idea of it really, and to share what I enjoy doing.
      The LPH80 in 1.2 would be absolutely ideal for what you do. It uses very little air, atomisation is excellent, and it runs at 1 bar, so very little overspray, a great choice 👍

    Greetings Pete, valid points. If I may ask, I have the first edition of the 360s in 1.3 Hte setup. Is it also possible in this edition to just size down the fluid needle to 1.2 without changing the aircap. I really enjoy these guns but it's hard work to get them laying down without abit of orange peel.

      Hi buddy, yes, normally that's possible. The cap has different markings, but they are the same.

    Hey Pete , hope you're well 👍 . How much better is the gun to spray with than the xlight/kombat? .
    Well , to be completely honest , I'm looking for a clear gun that is basically a less bipolar version of the ws400 (we argue alot 😅) . I know the 4600 is meant to be that , but unfortunately my sagola has an issue (I've spoken with sagola , they did their best to help but the warranty had run out) , I guess the question I'm trying to get to is: would you buy this gun in clear for restoration work? (I think the only thing stopping me is the price of them in Aus 😳 )

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi Andrew, To answer your original question, these are a small step up in everything except price, I think in Australia they are around 1500 AUD which is about the same as in the UK which is hopelessly overpriced imo.
      I presume your WS400 is a series1 as the series2 is nowhere near as temperamental. Have you ever used a W400 or Kiwami4 WBX? They are very good for clear coat and not temperamental at all

    • @andrewntoth1
      @andrewntoth1 Před 7 měsíci

      @peteshobbies5383 cheers , yeah I wouldn't think twice about purchasing one at 1000aud! .
      Yeah my ws is a series 1 , the cut outs in the fluid tip align perfectly with the air cap (even though they're slightly offset) , I can get the finish out of it perfectly every time , but it really likes to argue 😅 which gets frustrating when you're doing full resprays . I have a w400wb1 , which also is capable of the same finish (slightly slower , but it gets there) , it's more than 10 years old and been heavily used (still sprays ok , but the fan is a little top heavy) ...
      I hadn't really thought much of a ws series 2 as everywhere I've watched basically says they're the same gun? .

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 7 měsíci

      @andrewntoth1 Yeah, they are the same gun. The biggest difference is the tip lines up on all of them, not the odd ones, as with the series 1, so they are easier to use for most people.
      The W400 WB1 is a good relatively slow gun. The WBX or WB2 caps speed it up somewhat, a little more in the case of the WBX cap. Tips are all the same, so a 3 split tip.
      You can get the Kiwami4 WBX from Japan for a reasonable price, I'm presuming they are cheaper than a W400 WBX in Australia. They are in the UK, so I just presuming the same is so with you guy's as well.

    • @andrewntoth1
      @andrewntoth1 Před 7 měsíci

      @peteshobbies5383 thanks mate , I reckon you're on the money there , I'm really after a better version of the w400wb , and the kiwami4 is roughly $200au cheaper than a w400 here ...

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 7 měsíci

      I'm sure as the Kiwami4 is rolled out worldwide, as eventually it will, the price will got up, we are already seeing that with the Kiwami4 BA4J standard version.
      Cheers mate, be interesting to hear what you think if you get one 👍

    I'm painting golf carts ATM, in which the colour is infused into the plastic, so I need the flattest finish possible in order to achieve an OEM look.
    I really wanted the Walcom with the MP cap, but It's over 1.5K here in Australia.
    How does the Walcom and MP cap compare to the Sagola 4600 as far as a flat finish goes Pete?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi buddy, there really is very little in these guns as far as finish goes. They are all very good.
      The Sagola 4600 is capable of holding its own against the Walcom MP combination. It's a totally different concept, really, as it's much heavier, so it feels very different to paint with.
      As far as I know, the Sagolas are much more reasonable priced in Australia, so it's a no contest really
