At 10.53 ...it doesn't give any error because at the prompt it is expecting the terminator i.e. Semicolon (;) ...once if we put terminator then command or statements will execute ....and if it's valid the it will produce the required result or else throw error....e.g. If we put cd/u01/tb1; then it will execute the statement and throw error as this cd is not a valid postgres command....hope it makes sense 😊
