- I'm uploading this to show people who Big Voice Jack was. Dave recently told a story about Big Voice Jack and Leroi exchanging penny whistles.
In 1998, the Dave Matthews Band invited Big Voice Jack to the U.S. to perform in several of their concerts.
Big Voice Jack stood on that great big stage--nothing like he'd ever seen before--and played his penny whistles for the enjoyment of the tens of thousands of people in attendance.
He also sang one of his own songs, backed up instrumentally by the Dave Matthews Band, Butch Taylor & Bela Fleck.
Sadly, Aaron "Big Voice Jack" Lerole passed away on March 12, 2003 in Soweto (Johannesburg) South Africa. The cause of death was throat cancer. He was approximately 63 years old; his actual birth date is unknown.
So once again Leroi Moore and "Big Voice Jack" are playing their penny whistles together and making beautiful music!
May they both rest in peace. - Hudba

I love how in the very beginning of the video you can here a police car go by, yet in this room these two men from different parts of life can come together are playing this beautiful song.

For a good story about big voice jack look up Dave on Storytellers. He has one song on there where he talks about this musician. Its cool to get to see him for me after hearing about him in stories.
@DHNF Absolutely, an innocent time before all the hoopla.

@kiteboarder810 The instrument is in Bb.
@SRVisGOD1 i think it is in the key of E. thats what i play when im playing this on my trumpet.

anybody know where to find the full documentary?
when was this?
what key is his whistle in?
or just what notes is he playing?
@ProudestPig people that like other kind of music like rap boys! Some of the kids in my class don't really listen to this kind of music. They listen to rap which i think is much more bad than this! Because any body can say poetry!
Uh 1 who didn't like it?
