He was bordered up behind planks. So possibly, an Infected broke into the building, infected him and left. And rash didn’t want his dearest friend Willow to suffer, so he locked himself up.
@@James12345. Yeah but if it was boarded up with planks how did the infected get in? Because if the infected broke the planks, when willow came to see rash the planks would have been smashed. And if there was an exit, rash would have escaped and there is no other way the infected got in unless they can smash down brick walls like the hulk.

But she didn’t kill them, she isn’t a murderer. But, she is a sort of terrible criminal, she has committed assault and has broke into buildings and stole stuff, but no. Willow has not murdered somebody.
