    I attended the show Friday. Was hoping to run into you. But unfortunately you arrived Saturday. I had the opportunity to meet you at a previous show. You are one cool cat. Love your show! Cheers.

    Very valid points regarding the Press-- we got deeper into this life hobby , by reading the 4th issue of Absolute Sound-- Harry P. was amazing-he made us sit up and Listen

    Great recap! Scott Walker does a baller job in room setup and gear. My personal favourite rooms were Hear This with Wolf Von Langa, Gestalt, Trafomatic, Lampizator, & Heed. I found out that Gary Leeds at Hear This also brought in / carries the Westminster Labs for the Audio Association Room with Evolution Acoustics 👏🏼👌🏽🔥 the relaxed natural sound (not rolled off) and disappearing act are what I look for. Most Oddly, I find the Borreson over detailed. I hope didn’t write a book here, it was great meeting you at THE Show and knowing why you like the show.

      Normally Borresen is very detailed and, as I mentioned in the caption, can be good in short doses, but not long. This time I found them much more enjoyable over the long haul.
      No speaker flavor is for everyone though... Especially if you have certain music tastes, volumes, and tonal preferences.

    Those new C Series Børresen are incredible .. looking and performing. Their technology keeps bringing magic to the baseline for any system.
    The rooms and set up changes a lot .. so imagine them in ideal situations.
    will you get something to demo at home?

    Good job with a ton of videos recently. I use DSP for Home theater and it really is quite an enhancement. Don't use it for two channel listening but when I see all these incredible rooms that you visit it doesn't seem any of them are really using DSP to tuneup their rooms? It's just interesting why that might not be the case.

    • @AudiophileJunkie
      @AudiophileJunkie  Před měsícem +1

      It's slowly changing now that there is DSP with no drawbacks and more automated that doesn't require a skill set. I just did a Bacch demo today and it's literally been 100% sold whenever anybody hears what's possible now with both Bacch time domain and ORC frequency domain corrections. Most still haven't heard it yet or know what's possible nowadays.

      Let me check...I know I filmed one but maybe it got blocked by CZcams. The footage in this wrap-up was an excerpt but muted so it may not have triggered a block.

      I love the Acoras, and this room was great at the show. It easily could have been in my Best Of report and I mentioned them in a caption.
      My friend Doug particularly was impressed and told the guys off camera. I get to hear them all the time, and cover their room a lot, so I mainly focused on different rooms this show.

      @AudiophileJunkie  Před měsícem +1

      Yes TAD sounded great as always. I could have easily included them and others, but I wanted to focus on ones that stood out relative to other shows and/or brands unique to this show.

    The Home Entertainment Show has had a rather checkered past...let's be honest. As one who attended CES for over 20 years as an exhibitor, I always found going from the fairly upscale digs of Alexis Park and Venetian to the "low rent" venues selected by THE SHOW as depressing. It felt like a "scab show", which many in the industry accused it of being. High end audio doesn't belong in low end hotels. I forgot the name of the hotel next to the Alexis, but it was a dump. And compared to the Venetian, the Hilton down the strip was also pretty bad. The Newport shows were indeed their best efforts, but it seems that it all went downhill from there. The constant shifting of venues certainly hasn't been helpful. Maybe it's just the timing of your show videos, but the impression I get when viewing them is that this show like many of others put on by THE wasn't very well attended. It doesn't make sense to me to hold a show so close to those two major events: Axpona and Munich. They consume all the oxygen out of the exhibitor base and the audio press, so it becomes just a small regional show with poor attendance and little press coverage. I don't see that as changing. Axpona has clearly become the major high audio event in the US and it draws almost everyone in the industry to it. It has replaced Rocky Mountain, which held the title prior. Sad for the other show organizers, but that's just the way it is.

    • @AudiophileJunkie
      @AudiophileJunkie  Před měsícem

      They exhibited at the San Remo and other hotels in Vegas that weren't that far below Alexis Park in terms of being motels versus hotels.
      They were super well attended with great brands that complemented CES.
      Newport was the heyday and unfortunately when the head guy passed away, it became a challenge and drama filled.
      They definitely need to improve certain things, but at the same time deserve credit for weathering the storms and pushing through things that have killed other shows.
      Timing of the show has to change because there's too much fatigue following Axpona and Munich... Plus people are on family vacations in June.

    • @johnstone7697
      @johnstone7697 Před měsícem

      @@AudiophileJunkie Thanks for the reply. The shows try to put on a very "good face" to the public. But having been an industry insider for years, I can tell you that it's a real struggle today for small audio companies to afford both Axpona and Munich, much less all these regional shows. And the "old guard" rags like Stereophile and Absolute Sound simply don't have the resources anymore to attend them all. Stereophile is still rolling out some reports on Axpona, and I'm sure they're far behind on Munich. Maybe the "CZcams Press" will take the whole thing over before long.
