I’m an older doctor, (well, 62), and we had no concept of most of this when I went to medical school. You folks are wonderful. The lectures are certainly knowledgeable, well planned, and well presented. The cheerleading along the way is appreciated. Thanks for all your help.

Correction: I thank you for all the efforts, as it is the best on the internet.
The Recombinations of gene segments are NOT for the specificity of MHC II molecules. It is for B Cell Receptors, BCR, and T Cell Receptors, TCR.
-For BCR heavy chain and TCR beta Chain, the segments that undergo shuffling or rearrangements are V, D, J [ otherwise collectively called Variable Domains]
-For BCR Light chain and TCR alpha Chain, the segments are V, J.
Yes, the MHC genes are on Chromosome 6. However, the recombination of gene segments is what I described.
Thanks, @NinjaNerdLectures, I hope you will re-edit that part of the video

I love your videos! Your energy and enthusiasm for science are contagious. In support of your work, I wanted to clarify that the hydroxyl free radical does not have a minus 1 charge, the superoxide radical has an unpaired electron, and hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite are not free radicals! Finally, hypochlorite is the one that most readily kills microorganisms, while the superoxide radical and hydrogen peroxide are not as effective. Just wanted to clarify those details. Otherwise, great video. :)

I've had a horrendous case of tennis elbow since January now. Haven't been able to get it under control. Thought I'd do some research on inflammation and how it works. This is insane!
Anyway, my Dr. referred me to a place that may do cortisone shots. Since this kind of thing tends to be chronic, it may never go away completely. So now I'm curious what cortisone shots do and do they actually help anything heal? Or do they just mask the pain and all that for a while until you need another one?
