This was going to be one long video, but it is now broken up into parts. Here is part 1 of the MOTU Origins Eternia Playset. This video is simply an overview of the box and what it contains. There is also a sneak peak of part 2 at the end. I explain in the video that I am outside due to not being able to unbox this inside. Do not worry, I am not keeping the playset outside!! It is only outside for the video.
A little background information about how I got started with Masters od The Universe, being a senior in college… I started collecting MOTU origins when the line stated in 2020. A little CZcamsr by the name of Pixel Dan (idk if you’ve heard of him *joking*) introduced He-man and the Masters of The Universe to me through his plethora of toy review videos. Believe it or not, I started watching Pixel Dan when I was 13 years old, back when his videos still took place in front of his back door with the blinds closed. I watched his videos, mostly for toy reviews revolving around Nintendo and the occasional Jurassic Park. Well, one day, I decided to watch his review of the SDCC He-man and Prince Adam origins two pack out of curiosity. Need I say more. I am now deep into the motu collecting world. And I love the franchise just as much as the lucky folks who got to actually grow up with it. What’s even cooler is that Pixel Dan is the first big youtuber I have actually had the opportunity to meet in person! I think he’d be able to tell you how thrilled I was.
Well that was my weird motu story. Basically a freshman in college looking for a toy line to collect, interesting how that worked out. I pretty much kept up to date with every line of origins at retail. I have fallen off a little bit, but I still get figures when I come across them in the wild.

Absolutely love how you filmed this unboxing. It is one of the best I've seen that really helps show how ridiculously big that shipper box is. You can almost "feel" the weight just watching this. 🤣

Thank you! I try and make my unboxings feel very authentic, no fancy editing or anything, just raw footage. As of now, I unfortunately do not have a place for it. I am moving states at the end of the year, and I plan to have this as some kind of centerpiece to a table or something. Knowing me, it’ll be my dining room table 🤣. My ultimate end goal, is to make a home gym that is motu themed with Eternia as the centerpiece.
I'm from the 80's 'n l'm so glad younger generations bein interested in what l used to play with decades ago. Kudos for this unboxing!

Wow this thing is super cool! The art work on the box is phenomenal on all of the playsets, but especially this one imo.
It including the art work on the front of the box of Castle Greyskull, also Snake Mountain did it for me.

How do you collect toys as a college student? These crowdfunding projects aren’t cheap.
Haha, I ask myself the same question. But in all seriousness, I think I was working part-time at retail when I bought this. Fast forward a couple years, I have since landed a few jobs that allow me to make money while being a full-time student. I am a teacher’s assistant and a part-time toy designer. I also do freelance work, where I charge either hourly or by the project. I am a stranger to standing still, that’s for sure lol.

Im curious, why are you buying Masters of the Universe while are soo young. I mean the most fans have played with motu as a child. Im happy that people outside of the typical fandom (40-50years old mans 😂) having fun with the best action figure line ever made. Fun review 👍🏻

I get asked this all the time lol, I got into MOTU from Pixel Dan. I already liked collecting toys prior to motu, so I often watched reviews of other toy lines I collected. Motu seemed to be mentioned a lot amongst CZcamsrs I watch, so I decided to watch some videos about it. Started with he-man and skeletor in 2020, and now I’m down the rabbit hole with vintage, Origins, and masterverse. The most appealing part of the line to me, is the character design, vivid colors, and storytelling elements. It’s a very beautiful line. Not to mention the artwork is gorgeous. It is my favorite toy line I collect.
@@collegetoycollector This was the best answer. It's funny, because the first videos which i watched about actions figures were also from Pixel Dan and the Toyhunter from the TV. It was 2013 and i was completely fresh to the whole "Adult Collector of Toys" thing and i love it since then.

I was wondering the same thing. I first saw your video and thought you are very young to have played with MOTU. Thank you for explaining your origins. I had played and bought them in the 80s and no longer have them. But the nostalgia bug and the retro play has brought me back. I am a hoarder of boxes. Thank you for your content.
