Himalayan generates 24.3 bhp @ 6,500 rpm of power and 32 Nm @ 4,500 rpm of torque from its 411cc, single-cylinder, 4 strokes, 2 valves, fuel injection, air-cooled, SOHC engine. Himalayan has a 5-speed manual gearbox (Top Speed is 145 km/h) with both rear and front disk brakes also has a single or dual-channel ABS (anti-locking braking system). Available in 8 colours. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains the same. The motorcycle rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with tube-type tyres. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and dual spring-loaded shock absorber at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends while the system is equipped with an option of dual-channel ABS and single-channel ABS
