Love this lively tank lots going on E.J
Dear Paul:
I had intended, to break this tank down, in favor of a new, 29-gallon tank, which I recently purchased. However, I’m glad I had it available, to house many, of the specimens, which Charles purchased. Last week, I began to re-introduce plants, into this tank. I’m pleased that they are doing well, thus far.
Thank you, for your interest and lovely comment.
All my best,
Sincerely,
Brinegar
The brilliant rasboras are really standing out, not only because of their larger sizes but also their beautiful colors. Actually, this is my first time knowing about and seeing this fish, haha.
Dear Bo:
The brilliant rasbora (Rasbora einthovenii) is in the Family Cyprinidae. “Tetras” or characins make up the Family Characidae. So, it is not that surprising, that you were unfamiliar, with this species, as your passion is for tetras.
Cyprinidae is the largest family, of freshwater fishes and contains 3268 species of minnows, shiners, carps, barbs, barbels, gudgeons, chubs, dace, pikeminnows, tench, rudd, bitterlings, bream, southeast Asian “sharks” (Redtail Black Shark and Bala Shark), Goldfish, Koi, and danios.
I’m pleased that I acquired several brilliant rasbora.
Thank you, for your, continued support.
All my best,
Sincerely,
Brinegar
Wow your buddy got a whole lotta good looking fish.
Dear Gil:
I highly recommend reaching out, to others, in the hobby, via clubs and friendships, where you can share fauna, flora, fish food, equipment, etc. My hobby has grown, exponentially, since I began working with Charles, on his hobby, and joined the Louisville Tropical Fish Club.
Thank you, for your, continued support.
Sincerely,
Brinegar
G'day E.J, I must disagree. I think that those Rasboras look brilliant! Perhaps I just have lower standards than you 😆. Charles' has scored a terrific haul there.
Dear Gil:
Yes, they are an attractive fish. I’ve found them to be rather finicky. They tend to discard flake food, so I’m offering everyone’s favorite; bloodworms, along with various, other fare.
Thank you, for your, continued interest and lovely comment.
All my best,
Sincerely,
E. J. Brinegar
