Poor man, I know he’s gotta still suffer from that near death incident
What would you choose. Go off and potentially kill yourself. The school bus or the adults?
That trucker sounded more afraid than the school bus driver did.... and can we just take a minute to respect how tight that squeeze was?! I bet most drivers wouldn't have been able to slide that dump truck in there without clipping another vehicle.

When I was a kid a truck driver lost his brakes near the top of a long steep hill near our home. There were countless opportunities to slow the vehicle but none that would have been safe for bystanders. The last thing he said on the CB was "I'm the only one dying in this one" and he drove straight into the river. It's a dangerous job that benefits us all, There are a few bad-eggs but also some really good people, and a few heroes.

I used to drive a school bus. I’m so shocked the bus driver just sat there. Inexcusable on the bus drivers part. Where I lived, we went through extensive classroom and road training. As a truck driver this is one of my biggest fears. Especially when loaded. I don’t think he was or maybe just not a big load because I’ve seen trucks tip over for less. That being said he handled that like a pro
Yup 100% agree, I've lost my breaks before with 44t on weight on board (64.5t all up) not pretty and one of the scariest moments I've had
That is terrifying I've only lost trailer brakes and that was sketchy as all frig coming to a stop
How did he stop the truck?
@@madisnzz I haven’t seen anything else on it and I haven’t had this problem myself (hopefully never). I’d probably pop it in neutral and try to slow down enough to hit the parking brake. I’ve only been driving for 5 years so I don’t have a whole bunch experience yet.
@@madisnzz it went uphill
"what was that?" "you don't wanna know" she was probably so scared but didn't express it

She didn't want the kids to be scared. A whole bus of scared kids can be deadly.
Thank God for the fact nobody was hurt and by the sound of the driver he has children and much respect.
The terror in his voice brought me to tears! 😢 he must have been so scared to hurt a child… or anyone else for that matter… at keastvthe road looks like it’s going uphill I hope he’s ok…
That trucker was leaving his body, and the bus driver was like "eh, we all gotta go sometime".
lmao
I was leaving with him to be honest holy flip 😳
Id assume it’s to keep the kid calm and not have them all rush out of the bus into potential danger of the big truck from hitting them
Lmao
Yes, the Kids emotions are based of the bus driver
Omg the fear in this man’s voice!! Breaks my heart. He did an amazing job missing the bus and I hope he’s okay
He’s a hero for what he did. Respect to him!
Yea the first he think, save my life, take a child or 2🤦🏻♂️
Or an abysmal job at correctly checking the vehicle before driving it.
He's in jail forever, sadly
@@enchilada7765 okeee
No brakes or stopping power like on ice is just a HORRIBLE FEELING much less heading towards a stopped school bus!
Can feel his panic, poor guy 😢 So glad it worked out!!
Does anyone know if he was okay? My God! What a heroic man. ❤️❤️❤️
You can hear the sound of his heart getting shredded when he says
"STOP NO, Get AWAY!"
Edit: Yes, I thought he was gonna go to the left and crash or something but my guy has some quick reflexes
he genuinely wanted to keep every single one of those kids even if it meant hurting himself. you can hear the flow of emotions in that one sentence.
@@toraphire
His voice was trembling so yeah
Nice detail
Ya because if he hits them he’s the one going to jail, they’re responsible if their break go out for possible negligence
He says "Dont do it, Get away"
@Ginbunny Actually he did move! There’s a news story about it. He backed up as far as he could and hit the car behind him to give the driver room to squeeze through… the car behind him was smaller and he knew his truck could stand a stronger hit than the people behind him if he couldn’t make just enough room!
The poor guy sounds absolutely terrified i can’t even imagine what was going through his head…
Not the kids, not the kids, not the kids

If the car that was stopped was even like an inch closer, the truck would’ve hit it. Prayers to everyone 🙏
The fact you can hear the absolute fear in the truck drivers voice when the brakes failed. he didn’t want to hit the children on the bus, and the fact that the black car drove away probably because of the horn is a w moment.
The way he said “Stop No” really breaks my heart.
What breaks my heart is that she didn’t tell him to pull over… It’s not their problem, so they can just stay in the way 🤡
Wow, this has me in tears. So scary to watch, I pray the truck driver is safe.
@@nickfiorenza5930 thank god, I’m not alone 😪

Thank God that this truck driver had good skills God bless him and everybody else that was involved

the pickup truck tried to move as well but you can see at the end of the video that he backed into the car behind him because it didn’t back up as well

@@Handlealreadytaken.Trythisone.😂
Props for moving his fancy car out of the way of the 1st impact of a truck goin into a bus wit a few kids ?! Yous need to get this materlistic mindset out of your life SMH
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate this man's stellar driving skills
Stellar? Really in a semi you down shift before you break. Also you have 3 break systems you have a service break an air break and an engine break then if and when all 3 of the breaks do fail after having slowed down significantly by down shifting you put it in reverse and gently tap tap tap the gass if you are at full speed and still on a run away you have already messed up your first 4 methods to stop in time. That said this guy may be able to steer well and was lucky enough to have a large opening and no kid walking around the front of the bus however you can see that from his level of panic he was not clear headed this is why truck schools with obstacle tracks exist. Even though many drivers are still buddy tought and may know enough to pass the driving exam but not enought to truly know the basics by any means. It's very unfortunate that this driver was able to get in to this position in the first place when a proper DoT required pre-trip inspection would have found and identified the unserviceable nature of his rig and prevented this in the first place.

Truck driver did an amazing job of handling that, infuriating that not a single other vehicle moved. Bless him he was so terrified.
🫡 Respect to that Truck Driver.. People need to be more vigilant on both sides of the roads.
"You don't want to know", the sheer horror of this situation. Thank god everyone ended up alright.
That truck was going fast too, if he was less skilled, he probably would've hit that bus or truck, which would've been horrible either way
What happens to the truck driver
I’m confused on what was happening in this video
@@DarkNugget39 the truck's brakes failed, or just couldn't stop in time. Look up "truck runaway ramp" and you'll see lots of examples of big trucks having to go off the road because their brakes failed. They make runaway ramps for these situations on highways, so that less people get hurt. In this video the driver was terrified because he couldn't stop in time and there was an entire school bus full of children in front of him
@@DarkNugget39 also I have a feeling that the reason all the cars were stopped is bc when the bus has the stop signs it’s the law that all cars stop to keep the kids getting of the bus safe. If all the cars had been moving whilst the bus was parked that would have been catastrophic
Everyone looks so calm while the poor truck driver is in panic , i could feel that adrenaline rush
He didn't want to hurt those kids, accident or not imagine the guilt

@@burtan2000 very risky what he did but if he took it off road, i cant see it not hitting a tree or 2 or tiping, the guy in the pickup has ball for sitting still if he moved or tired to get out of the way he would have ruined it for the dumptruck guy's maneuver
The fear in the trucker's voice was so sad. I'm glad no one was injured (from what we can see). He must have been terrified
I’m crying… he was so afraid to hurt anyone. 😢
just like everyone else that commented, the “stop no” absolutely broke my heart to hear. you could hear the fear and helplessness he felt. and that squeeze was an amazing and skillful act.
