CNC Basecamp Ep008: Geometric Shapes

  • This month’s project features a door that uses a geometric pattern, primarily triangles in an asymmetrical arrangement, created by inlaying six different wood species. Now, working with 2D patterns is not something woodworkers do very often, but with CNC routers showing up in more and more workshops, that’s changing.

    With the stained glass door what did you do for the corners of all the pieces? All the pockets would have rounded corners whereas all the inlays would have sharp corners. Thanks.

      Looking at the video (around the 8:27 mark) you can see the pieces have rounded corners.
