I watched this brother in the 70's...made me so proud to be a black man. Thanks, Jim Kelly. RIP
I strongly agree brother; he made me proud too. Hey, if you're bad enough to be in a movie with Bruce Lee: you're BAD!
@@richardjohnson8250 TRUTH!
❤ Jim kelly; legendary martial arts fighter & actor
He was definitely one of the greats. Excellent martial artist and a true gentleman.
Jim Kelly absolutely inspired me to take up Martial Arts. He was the coolest guy to me in the movie "Enter The Dragon." I loved his style and fluid motion. With every move he showed precise execution and irrefutable skill. He was cool, yet calm, calculating yet, deadly. I'll always have great memories of Jim Kelly. Rest In Peace brother Jim in God's heavenly embrace, you'll be sorely missed.
I can say I had the extreme pleasure to have met this man in 96 he was a very humble gentleman and very kind to share his life with me when i asked about his times with bruce lee and he indulged it openly..such a great guy..R.I.P and thoughtful tribute to him tku Mr Williams for that opprounity rest in peace!
Thank You for this touching tribute to Jim Kelly. I never had the pleasure to meet him, though Black Belt magazine and many people have said he was a true gentleman to all people.
RIP Jim Kelly and thank you for all you gave to both the world of Cinema and Martial Arts.
From
Stephen Leather, a 20 year student of the Martial Arts and a big Bruce Lee fan.
Man what an awesome job you've done...Now they can all enjoy that awesome land together. Bruce and Jim..RIP...and my cousin..Sam Cooke...
This is a very nice tribute, with a tribute like this his legacy will never be forgotten.(Jim Kelly R.I.P)
Brother Jim Kelly was a unique fighter who came up during the time when black martial artist combined with acting were rarely seen, especially in a motion picture staring Bruce Lee. Disappointments and script changing were common. He got his recognition, fame & glory that was due to him. May he rest in peace and be remembered for his abilities and determination including reaching out for the black youth.
Over the years I have wondered where Jim was and what he was doing, now I know. There was many a Friday night at the drive in theater watching him on the screen.Thank you for letting me know, and am sorry to hear of his passing.
OOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
That cry will echo in eternity. R.I.P. Master Jim Kelly.
I used to run into Jim Kelly here and there in Coronado CA , we would talk about everything , I always called him Mr Kelly ( I''m a grown ass man ) , just the respect I had for him. R.I.P. good man
Thank You Mr. Jim Kelly for inspiring me to learn Martial Science.
While I was stationed in Asia,I became engulfed in The Spirit of Bushido.
Also, many Brothers from the streets, like me were inspired by you.
Martial Arts taught them discipline as well how to obtain inner peace.
God Speed Sir! May your soul be in peace on your journey through Eternity.
Bruce Lee was my first sports influence, then Ali, then Kim Kelly. Thank you!
A touching tribute beautifully accompanied on the piano by Maurice. RIP Jim Kelly.
My heart is broken too... I had such admiration for this man and his skills. His form was truly artistic motion. REST IN PEACE JIM KELLY!
What a great man and a great Martial Artist and great actor with charisma and class, Rest In Peace good man.

The holl world looking Enter the dragon 😎
Maurice I really didn't know he had died. I was just looking for some old black movies to download, and ran across your post and one other; man how sad....I loved me some Jim Kelly back in the day and thanks to youtube, I saw that he was still active, that was last year....thank you for this wonderful tribute.
My original hero since 73 he taught a class to our kindergarten class "Lil Angels" in Los Angeles off 54th. i seen him another time in Sizzler off Labrea in 70s in Los Angeles Baldwin Hills!!
RIP Mr Kelly you were a humble man not bragging or talking about your self but giving others credit and compliment even though you had a lot of accomplishments your self
This guy nearly stole the show in Enter the Dragon. , he was that great. Shame we didn't see more of him in other films.
Hey, tru that man! This was during an era when most African American figures on the big screen, was always the first to die in about any movie.
Lovely tribute to another legend , Jim Kelly , good man and wonderful film and stage presence , always kind words he uttered for others , considerate , humble , good karate , character , an ambassador for karate way of life , and humanity ,
Though master Jim Kelly is not with us now still his memory is with us for ever. Such a nice martial artist. RIP Mr.Jim Kelly. 🙏🙏🙏
Enter the Dragon, Black Belt Jones, Three the Hard Way and One Down Two To Go.
Saw them all when I was young .
I believe Jim was not an original choice in Enter the Dragon but he made a great impact in the movie .
RIP James.
You come straight out of a comic book.
he was originally not supposed to.be killed off in enter the dragon.
Roper was supposed to be killed off but John Saxon stressed the fact he had more acting credits to his name, and should be the co-,star.
John Saxon was good in the film, don't get me wrong, but Jim Kelly fighting along side Bruce would have been so much better at the end, and he could have had more great one liners too 😊.
R.I.P Jim Kelly, a legend like Bruce 👍🏻
i was browsing and only just realized that he passed away ,,,,,shame on me ,,,,,,,,anyway RIP bro ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I feel to say in your honor " BULLSHIT MR. HANN MAN!!!!! "
He really seemed like a nice guy I wish I would have met him.

amazing guy! it wasn't just bruce lee that made enter the dragon so great. it was jim Kelly and john saxon equally. RIP Jim!!!
david calderone
It was only
The greatest Bruce Lee than Jim Kelly.
John Saxon can’t fight, look like amateur in that movie.
In relation like Kelly or the best Lee’s.
@ramani.a.8138 Actually John Can Fight It's Just That When Bruce And Jim Fought They Fought With A Cool Style And Soul To It And U Can't Teach That U Have To Just Have It Inside U. One Love Fam.
@@ramani.a.8138I was going to comment, but I've decided against that. Osu!🥋👊🥊
Jonh Saxon no era un artista marcial como Bruce Lee y Jim Kelly.
Oh wow, I didn't know Sensei Jim Kelly had passed away. Thanks for this touching tribute.
Jim Kelly made me proud to be a
Black boy in America, he was a great martial artist. Favorite line " been practicing huh ". Why can't we live forever?
In my humble opinion we do indeed live on much as before, and the company of those that you was around on the earth!!- RIP Master Kelly,-----one heck of a nice genuine and sincere Man.

Yeah funkman 70, it is stunning how your words acknowledged Jim. Brother, from the bottom of my heart, i am so happy that i made this video. Words cannot describe my gratefulness for making this video. The only regret I have is that I inserted 2 other individuals, updating the viewers of today's Martial Arts. I wish i did not insert additional Martial Artists. My heart meant well brother. Regardless, I acknowledged brother Jim in a touching tribute. That's what matter. Thanks, maurice
Rest in peace Mr. Kelly!
Hi Maurice, thanks for this tribute.
You are welcome.
I seen all that had Jim Kelley in cause at the time he was the only one out with a afro close to the size of my own. Special connection just like Bruce Lee it's from within.
Brother Robb, I commend you on your vast knowledge of Jim Kelly. I too was touched by Jim during the 70's Kung-Fu-mania days. He inspired me. He made me proud to see an African American in this arena. Jim and I corresponded here on yt. He commented on my nunchaku video. He also posted it on his youtube page. I told him how he inspired me and I would make a tribute video to show him my appreciation.I regret not knowing all that you share. Thanks brother, I am grateful for your input. maurice
Man you come straight out of a comic book
lol i liked that line lol
One of a kind. A True Gentleman!!!
A very beautiful and therapeutic tribute to a beautiful brotha. Thank you for sharing this.

Liberate666A1 top man all the greats are gone bloody death sucks
Jim Kelly was the best. He started me doing Martial Arts as a kid when I watched him on Tv. He was a beast. RIP Master Kelly
goodbye dear Jim Kelly, you continue to inspire and delight us all with you Karate skills, bless your soul
A FIGHTING LEGEND, JIM KELLY. JUST FOUND OUT HE HAS PASSED AWAY. RIP.
Damn, SMH ! R.I.P. Grandmaster Kelly .
In loving memory.😍
Beautiful R.I.P. brother
JIm Kelly is an awesome guy. He wasn't suppose to die in the enter the dragon, it was suppose to be John saxon's charater that die, but they changed it. he was also suppose to be in another movie with bruce lee.
While some people think that Bro. Jim Kelly was too busy trying to look good, and didn't take martial art seriously; J Kelly was a very skilled and talented artist. If it were not true, he wouldn't have not gotten the role he did in Enter the Dragon; I'm sure Bruce Lee would have had a big influence on that kind of decision concerning any one who didn't cut it. RIP Bro. Jim Kelly.
3 the hard way was onea my best growin up!!! Gonna try ta set me up!!! Mr keys...Rip Jim...a good guy!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🐘🐼🐬🐻🐳🐅🐕🐖🐄

I am ashamed to admit that I have only just started to look up this great man. Bruce Lee was great in Enter the Dragon. So was Jim, especially so given he had proportionally less air time. And didn't he have the coolest lines? Respect. Rob UK.

So sad .great actor and fighter smart person he was So respect .RIP .from UK
Good Evening Maurice, and sorry for the delayed response. With regards to your request for information, Jim made this information available during an interview at Comic Con 2010, if I am correct. However, my friends and family were also aware of this information since we are all "top flight" African-American Athletes who looked up to Jim as one of our "hero's." We also remembered when he did a "Afro-Sheen" commercial, and we he appeared on the Dinah Shore Show.
RIP In jesus!
Good bye my friend, I'm sure you're too busy looking good.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Kelly
Jim Kelly....superstar!!!!
My father and his mother were brother and sister...R.I P. first cousin
For those of you who haven't watched it ,there is a two part interview of Jim Kelly on a channel called "Badazzmofo". It was filmed in June 1996 for a documentary.
great job, brother... i've listening n watch your videos. kerp make people inspired to go on. life is beautiful:)
JIM MUST BE HAVING A BLAST , SPARRING WITH BRUCE LEE AGAIN , YOU WILL BE MISSED ,. ( MAN YOUR RIGHT OUT OF A COMIC BOOK. )

He was a terrific martial artist and actor ! I love the line in Enter the Dragon where he told Han “ not me Mr hand man I’ll be too busy looking good !!”... classic line !
Good guy loyal friend, extremely humble man!!! God Bless his soul...
One of my favourite martial artists and lovely man rip Jim
Thanks for the great movies
It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for
Don't waste my team wit it
Oh how so?
I'LL BE TOO BUSY LOOKING GOOD!.....
My man Jim Kelly
In addition, please be aware that the four (4) straight Grand National Championships that Jim Kelly won, which did not have any weight classes. Therefore, this meant that everyone had to fight everyone, and only Jim Kelly emerged as the "champion!" Also, several years ago, a retired Marine made a comment how Jim Kelly defeated Chuck Norris for the 1971 International Middleweight Karate Championship, however, I do not have a reference available. Therefore, please stand by.
I never knew he competed and was a middleweight Karate champion in 71 still today. :) Odd how some people just don't get the recognition they deserve. JK was to most people just Williams from Enter The Dragon....some of us heard about his blackoitation films...always respectful of Bruce.
Interesting Bruce...as much as he's still worshipped around the world today. Still with tons of fans. He never competed. :) Became an icon based on his charisma and some talent. And funny enough said to be the most "legendary martial artist". Which as a past fan I now find that amazing---because he was never a champion having never competed. How can any one be "legendary" if they're incomplete IMHO??
We lost another great martial artist
Tru that!
Outstanding tribute that was special !!!!
My favorite martial artist RIP>
I am a huge fan of all Jim Kelly's Martial Arts Movies and His work In Karate! I'd drop everything and run to watch Jim Kelley throw down on film!
I'm excited just to watch now.
OOH YEAH MY PARENTS KANE KEKE AND OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS REMEMBER JIM KELLY
I am not black
But as a 13 boy next to Mohammed Ali he was my 2nd black idol
Very sad to see him go
RIP master kelly
Your absolutely RIGHT YOUNG SIR
