For all Motif ES owners, ES has smartmedia and usb for data loading, but the speed of usb is 1/10th of smartmedia (2Mb/s vs 0.125Mb/s). If you want to load sample then use smartmedia, but keep them under 16Mb total.
It took too long. If you're playing somewhere, you might want to arrive an hour early to load the sounds. Also, make sure the Motif ES is not turned off.
Hi Marcellus great video, however I'm trying to find someone that can walk me through if its possible of course, to add a backing track to the ES. I would like to add an mp3 or wave to be able to push play then I play along with the track. Can this be done being such an old keyboard there is no data on being able to do that. The only thing on CZcams is a USB in Wave format to a PSA keyboard which doesn't help much. Any help would be awesome thx. Bobby
Motif ES has very slow usb transfer rate, so loading backtrack is not good idea. However, you can play along with your track via sample input from you mp3 player (iphone, ipod…) Audio output from your mp3 player to A/D input. Set Ultility Audio is line. Then hit play from your mp3 player…that’s it
I have a Motif ES 7 . Tyring to send midid to my Mac studio. It plays samples but the sustain doesn't work and I cannot figure out how to get that puppy barkin'?? Help? THanks!
Question what amp cause I have the Roland 550 and it sound like my sounds be struggling coming out especially with my bass, also what type of amp chord I need to get for clarity. How much was the card
Hey, I have the Roland KC 550 too and in my opinion, it has too much bass. The video is using direct audio from the keyboard to the audio interface that im using but the Church has a Peavey KB5 that I like more. I use Mogami Gold Unbalanced Stereo cables and they're expensive but I don't hear any noise so it's worth it. What kind of keyboard do you have? Depending on the keyboard, you can edit the EQ of the sound and take some of the low end out.

Yes I have a classic motif 8 and I have the motif 6 es,
So question what edit you have the EQ settings set too.
Could you show a video of those settings…….in how to go about setting them
