Anton you gotta add context that while interest rates were high, houses were all below $100K back in the day. The prices of houses used to be so affordable even the lower class could qualify & purchase. Always need that extra context

These days you'll find that the average home is 7x the average annual salary. If you're going to tell people to look at the entire picture, do so yourself first. Furthermore, interest rates are more sensitive to higher principal amounts. 7% interest on 400k is more expensive than 7% interest on 200k. Still, there's not excuse (yet) for those that really want to be successful. There are still decent jobs out there. We live in an era where it's easier than ever to create your own hustle. It's still possible to get a bag, it's just not as easy as it used to be and requires more discipline and mental fortitude.
True. When I did mortgages starting in 2003, it was common to see people with a 14% interest rate. Some of them only had a few years left on their mortgages but they wanted a lower rate and pay off debt. The people who had bad money habits ran the debt back up....QUICKLY. The ones who had good habits, reduced their rates and got a shorter term and were out of debt sooner. Choices and decisions.

Another reason why people are broke, buying things that don't actually bring value. Drop the cigs, dope and alcohol and you'll see a massive influx of extra cash that is usable. Instead of buying $200 Jordans like a lot of people in my block are doing, find alternative clothing options so you can save a buck and still look fresh. Another undervalued tidbit, don't be buying what you damn well won't use long term. If you spending money for cable but don't really watch all the channels, then make cutbacks. If you buy a whole chicken but only eat a 1/4 portion per day, that's money wasted. If you buy a video game full price in an era of discounts and many cheaper options then you're hurting your wallet. Stay away from fast food and learn to cook. Much cheaper and healthier and even tastier. Good for date nights when you're scrapped for cash too. Also live within your means. If you make only a thousand a week don't be renting a $2000 apartment. Find another way if possible. Inflation is only a part of the problem IMHO, the rest is spending habits, budgeting, and long term planning to whatever it is you're trying to do. Work smart, play smart, and you'll start seeing MASSIVE returns in areas that weren't there before.

I don't think it's laziness. Most people don't feel like they have a purpose in life. You really have to shift your mindset into contributing to society for example someone put in the time and effort to make smart phones for society so. You can contribute to society in some way.
Being aimless is a form of laziness though because you’re basically refusing to put the inner work in and make a decision on what the next step needs to be. It’s challenging to think 10 steps ahead at times, but most people can at least identify what the next 1-2 steps to move their life forward are if they’re honest with themselves about it

I won't be making over 100K, but I did the math and after bills, rent etc etc I will have plenty of spending money & money to save. The problem with people is they are either lazy or choose to live above their means. Teachers complain about how much they make, they definitely make enough money to be comfortable, and then get several months off. People need to stop thinking they should get rich off their jobs lol.

I HAVE BEEN AT THE BED SIDE OF DO MANY DYING PEOPLE AND NO ONE EVER IN MY TWENTY YEARS EVER SAID I WISH I HAD WORKED MORE AND MADE MORE MONEY..BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS SAY I WISH I COULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME WITH MY FAMILY AND LOVED ONES.
I get up every morning at 4:30am. Go to the gym. Work out for two hours. Go back home work on my two business. Jump on trading. Then i go out and do some spark delivery and doordash on the side till 7pm. Go home cook take a shower and go too sleep.
Make enough to live inside your means and stay humble, good things will come your way. Never make money to impress people! Live by a moral compass and take some time to just look around at your surroundings, never let greed take over your existence, inner peace is way more valuable when you depart this world. Also, if you see somebody doing it tough, help them and show them love!
