- It’s International Nurses Day!! To all the amazing women and men out there working as nurses and taking care of everyone, we want to say thank you. Everyone-make some noise for nurses! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ And also, I wrote you some limericks!

Pluto, you are awesome. From this retired nurse anesthetist and hailing from a long line of nurses, the dedication of our nurses is amazing. I am doing my retired part to not be part of their problem. Folks, do a nurse the biggest favor you can. Follow the rules set out by the experts....notice I did not say the politicians.
Medicine is very diverse
And the calling is often a curse
But when you are sickly
You learn pretty quickly
The person you need is a NURSE!

A little interesting tidbit, the black velvet ribbon on a Registered Nurse’s cap (when nurses wore caps) was worn as a symbol of mourning for Florence Nightingale. Proud to be a Canadian nurse. 🇨🇦🪔🇨🇦
All the caps ere different. I was in the last class of a hospital nursing program and our cap was white cone like. I did not wear it long as soon we did not have to. At the beginning the cap served a purpose. Thanks for your work.

after 40 years as an ICU nurse, now retired, I am grrateful to be represented by the nurses today who have stepped up with love courage and skill during such a difficult time. Most find nurses week and platitudes difficult to accept. Mostly, they are modest, but in secret it helps them carry on, so don't stop telling them, not so much how great they are but how grateful you are to have them in your life. Everyone knows a nurse.

@@MichNative01 Thank you. .It is difficult to put patients' needs before your own. People who say will can you not just leave after your shift and refuse to do overtime. They do not understand what it means to commit to nursing and your colleagues.

Love this message! I shared it with the blood donor services team at our local hospital. Nurses touch the lives of so many, whether they work in a traditional health care setting or do home visits. Nurses are incredible people!!!

. Nurses give blood sweat and tears. Thank you Aunt Kathy mom's twin working years ago. Thanks to my daughter in a doctor's office working with patients. All 5in her family were sick. 2 yr old too. Thanks to a neice who is heeding the call from VA to NY back working in a hospital in NY, after she moved away. Her family of 5 all had it. Thanks to all the health care workers on front lines! No button pants for nurses and health care workers YAY!

As a nurse I can not tell you how much I enjoy your videos. Your sense of humor is just so uplifting. In addition. Dearest Pluto. I lost my mini schnauzer Barkley 3 years ago.
