I took your advice on buying variegated cuttings that aren't half moons and are marbled, when I finally bought a Monstera Albo cutting in end of May, and it finally put out it's first new leaf! It's perfect, I'm so happy. It already is huge with 2 splits and perfect marble variegation ☺️
I follow that advice too. I see people selling plants that have gone 90% white and it makes me scared 😬 And they sell it at a higher price too! It’s definitely good information to know that plants can basically self-destruct (or revert) if you aren’t aware of certain things took keep an eye out for
Kaylee, you might want to look into the Elho Vibes pots, they come in different colors and they have a pink, sage green, dark blue (it's my favorite), white and yellow. They look kind of like your ceramic pink pot. I'm only using that version at home, as I can easily integrate the Elhos with the ceramic pots. Edited to add: I think your version of pot is Elho "Soft Air"? Just checked my local hardware store that has a garden center, and they also keep a pink version of that
Seconded! Definitely have done this in my house and love having so many color options ;) I believe Krylon (sp?) is pet safe too if that is a worry…my cats have never chewed pots though 😂
I have been wanting a variegated Homalomena Rubescens for years but they haven’t become more affordable nor available in the EU 😅 yours is very pretty, thanks for showing 😊
Hello Kaylee, I have four different types of pink Elho pots: the B. for soft, B. for swing (hanging pot), The vibes fold, and the vibes fold coupe. I am from Belgium, and since Elho is a Dutch brand, they are easily obtainable here. Could it be they offer a more limited colour scheme to export to the UK?
I would prefer a colourful pot for this plant :-) Elho Vibes pink could fit, or maybe the blue Vibes pot would make a more interesting contrast with the plant and pink pebbles 🙂
I don't like elho cover pots because they are plastic and they look too plastic! I much prefer buying an elho insert and then using a glazed terracotta that somewhat fits the insert in it. I've used that combination both for soil living plants as well as in pon... I adore self watering pots too and I try to either change all my plants into those or build a diy self watering system with a cover pot, a plastic pot and a thick cotton string to wick the water from the cover pot.
My huge thai con is so mad at me after an aggressive repot last week 😅🥲 I really went in too hard trying to separate baby growth points from the mother. And of course… I ended up breaking the pups in the process! 🤦 I hope momma thai forgives me my transgressions. I’m sure she’ll pull through cause she’s always been a beast, but I hate seeing her looking a little floppy and sad
Such a cute plant. It will always look more peachy now though because it will look less pink next to the topper. If u wanted it to look more pink you could use the green topper

I use Elho Vibes a lot too :-) They look really good in all sizes. I have combination of blue, yellow and mint 🙂
