  • The next part of our building venture is to build a portion of the roller coaster's track. This track is being placed by hand and cut to exacting tolerances.
After it's built, we will see a small test of our aluminum prototype car coasting from the station section!

Update: There will be a slight hiatus in uploads due to a cross country move; however, we will continue building the biggest little rides the world will ever see.

I used to build model rollercoasters. I made a looping working model out of brass tubing and track ties modeled after Arrow Dynamics. It was 20 feet tall, had metal fabricated cars with U-joints, a working lift hill, two teardrop loops and a double corkscrew. The track had a single larger tube for the backbone like the real thing. Although it worked completely, coasters don't behave in miniature the way they do at full size because of the weight and inertia differential. Heavy coaster cars seem to almost defy the laws of physics as they move around the track, seemingly without losing much energy because of "mass in motion" principles. But at small scale, coasters lose energy quickly, unfortunately.

super happy i found that this! Built my own 'RMC' style model a year a back, wasn't working but i'd love to give another design a go, and see if i could get a train rolling

Hi, what type of bearings are you using for your wheels? They seem to have little friction!

I recently moved cross country so the ride building has taken a bit of a hiatus. Soon, I should be back up and running with more cars and a new way of building he supports. I'll be showing some updated designs I've had time to work on too. Thanks for watching!
