I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in czcams.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

So my plan is to turn one room into a dog room and then go other into a guest room for my family to visit me whenever they'd like as I'm moving hours away. I love your modern woodwork. I'm a rustic fan so I'll be using the vinegar/water/steel wool mix for a more worn feel. Bet your rear I'm copying a lot of your work! I'll give you credit though 😉

Hey have you thought about getting a set of plug cutters? It's a great way to use different woods for plugs and use up some of those small hardwood scraps.

You don't glue end grain to long gain, and never end grain to end grain. It's a waste of glue. Instead, you use tennon and then glue. You can also cut it in an angle, then glue and clamp. Once glue has dried, you drill a hole for wood dowel to go through both pieces of wood. The project looks beautiful by the way.
