I love how the cat scales at Truck stops work. They're finally getting truck stops correct. Compared to the early states where you just filled up at regular gas stations lol. Sliding tandems would be amazing. Thanks for the info on your settings.

I think you have mastered the use of mods. You do it strategically and tastefully. It really makes ATS seem more "realistic" in your setup when I compare it to other ATS drivers.
@connordh89 late to the party, hope you got your answer somewhere else. Order is important, and will for the most part be, Build the world first (maps), then everything in the world (scenery, signs, stores, etc), then truck parts followed by trucks, trailers etc lastly behaviors (police, weather, traffic, sounds). As long as you follow that guy the line and The Mods are not messed up. Comma you won't have any crashes or errors.

I wish ats would fix the scales where if your overloaded you get fined and would be nice to if you can buy permits from the scales to haul heavy loads and the cops that would actually chase you and pull you over for speeding and other traffic laws good video jeff keep up the good work
IRL the pick up location at the beginning in the Toyota plant in San Antonio. I used to work there so its so cool to see how closely it looks to the plant.

Not that I don't enjoy your voice, but those quiet moments of just listening to the ambient sounds of the game are very cool -- especially with headphones -- almost like an ASMR experience. And the only way I've been able to get rid of most of the aliasing is to run the game in 4K, which isn't bad, even on a 3060ti with a 9600K. Anything lower that 4K and the tops of buildings and electrical lines are all a jagged mess. It still runs at 60fps for me, which is perfect (to me) for a game like this.
So glad you went through all your stuff at the end. Haven't found exactly what I like with settings, so I'm using your settings and changing them to better suit my setup!

They are part out with the cabinet factory I used to work for and always have their trucks and trailers around the property to load and unload cabinets and parts. Some cabinets are small to big tall size fully built. Keep up the good work.

Too many visits to mode manager but its a great game I just wanna say thank you and looking forward for more of your awesome ATS videos
Jeff thank you for going over the settings you use in ATS, I did not know about the driveshaft torque. Also I set the trailer stability like yours. Wondering if the trailer will jack knife in the rain when braking with the trailer brakes. You mentioned sliding tandems and scaling each axle, Excellent recommendation to SCS. Yard dog mode would be very cooI. I find the Texas roads confusing too, thumbs up on the harder loading docks.
great videos by the way Jeff as always. I did a lot of research about this game that's how I fixed my stutter problem by playing around with the scaling untill I found what my pc can handle.

I just crank everything to max on graphics and looks pretty good. 400% scaling, etc…. Course I’m running on a VR capable racing sim complete with vibration so ATS is pretty easy on it in comparison. I might see about ATS in VR but loving this sim. Bought it last year but only just now starting to play it after 12 months and I like it.

Great video Jeff. Please don't take this as a complaint,..just an FYI that's interesting (at least to me) on OTR engine's that I researched (and that I added to my ATS profile, for nerds like me). Detroit Diesel engines can (only) be found on Western Star and Freightliner trucks since 2001. Caterpillar stopped producing OTR truck engines in 2016. Generally, neither are available engines, even as an option. Paccar is interesting...they build engines and own both Kenworth & Peterbilt truck companies. Hence they're being the default engines in both brands. In the end, Cummins comes out on top, it's at least an option for all brands. All this being said, I'm gonna put both Cat's & Detroit's in my next few trucks. Love your channel & this game. According to Steam, I'll hit 7,300hrs of playtime this weekend😳 - EDIT: hit 7,300 on Sunday.
didn't use nvidia overlay and anyone can charge what they want for a modification they make. What people deem worthy of their time is up to them, you either buy it or you don't. $80 is for the full truck as he clearly has a free version of it.
If you have an NVidia graphics card there is a video from Panjno on CZcams that has some great optimizations which makes the game runway better and all games for that matter in the Nvidia control panel.
Its so cool that you live in st.louis. I live there too, well 15min west of stl. and i have a rtx4080 build. Most parts i bought from microcenter in brentwood.I have about $5K invested in my gaming setup so far.
Jeff, I experienced erratic frame times (which produced noticeable stutter) with the same traffic density mod you have in there. Definitely seems to be either an issue with that mod specifically, or when paired with Jazzycat (as I did that as well).
I have that only in cities. But it is the game engine. It cannot handle so much traffice/buildings etc. etc. - the most noticeable stutters is when it loads new traffic in. Of course, the more content related mods you have, the worse it gets. So it is maybe because of the mods, but actually it is the game engines fault.
Jeff, I've been considering the PNG mod after seeing some discussion of sketchiness regarding JBX. I notice this video was a year or so ago. Are graphics mods still worth having with the new game engine used in the newest versions? I play offline too if it matters.
Jeff at first, tnx for sharing, but You turn on the vertical sync at 38:31. But then you just load the main CPU with calculating the sync. Wouldn't it be better to turn off the sync here on the ATS/ETS2 and to turn on the Vsync on the Video card in the NVDIA settings there ?. Because the Vsync is calculated by the processors on the video card that are made for that purpose. don't you think ?
hey jeff, im not sure if its my tech, but i have a ton of bass over shoot with your video and this truck sound. i thought it was my pixel buds pros. so i tried a different video and they were fine.. i swap to my mac, and my sonys, and same issue. i have the sony WH-XB910N extra bass headphones. and same issue. the truck engine sound has a lot of bass over shooting. sounds like blown out speakers. the engine it self sounds amazing. its just the bass overshooting.
Little advise, you shoul put Zee's interior sound mods above the sound fixes mod, because the sound fixes mod can overwrite several sounds from those, at your current load order
Also Jeff try setting your pc to high performance go to settings power and sleep additional power settings and click on high performance that might help also just trying to help you out.
Gonna watch this and learn more about the sim and the mods. I'm rounding up stuff, looking at steering wheels, pedals, and shifters. And I want to learn about mods. I found Outlaw's Peterbilt 359, and I found two mods for the Spicer 6 over 4 transmission. I haven't yet found a mod for the juiced Detroit Diesel 8V-92TA engine.
I know ATS would need to support DirectX 12 to make it work, but I would love to have support for either DLSS, ray tracing, or both at the same time now that I finally have a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 at my disposal (albeit the considerably more powerful version with 12 GB of VRAM instead of 8) that I got for Christmas in 2022 which looks to me like an absolute beast of a GPU compared to the 1650 Super in the machine I typed this comment with.
As some who drives cross country for a living. Bucees definitely isn't gas station food. Either you haven't been to one or you're just hatin because trucks are allowed. Loves is gas station food. Pilot/Flying J is slightly better gas station food. Tread lightly disparaging the beaver in Texas. You may not make it out in one piece. 😂
Are the setting 1920x1080(6:9) the same as you have in the game 2560x1440(16:9)? If not is there a video that can be used? Otherwise GREAT videos & keep them coming.
Only downside is zee hasn’t updated his stuff to 1.47 at all. It’s caused a big uproar in his lack on customer support and just updating in general. Still works on 1.46 tho for anyone still wanting to buy them
I have the density mod too along with All Jazzy Cat traffic mods except overweight and military cargo and I don't get skips or lag spikes. I have 94 mods in total and my gameplay is smooth at 63fps avg. Try running the density mod above all ai traffic mods Specs are: Victus 16.1" IPS Gaming Laptop AMD Ryzen 7 6800H GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 32GB DDR5 @ 4800Mhz 2 1TB PCIe SSD x 2
The Project next Gen is really great, worth every penny. Way easier to order and install versus JBX graphics. JBX never sent me all the files I needed to get it to work.
Jeff you want it on prefer maximum performance also Vsync off in control panel also try Gsync it prevents screen taring but also helps with lag I use Gsync I love it better than Vsync
Great vid and mods. I saw you had more than 3 controllers in the game settings. I recently found my button box (on top of shifter,wheel,pedals) can't be added / recognised, how did you (or anyone) get round this?
Hi Jeff I believe it's the scaling setting your using cause if you already have a High quality monitor you don't need to run scaling high because scaling and ssao and mirror settings does eat up alot of frames
Did you notice a big FPS difference with the graphics mod? I want to purchase it but am playing in VR currently and with my older model GPU I had to do a lot of tweaking just to get playable FPS.
I bit the bullet and bought PNG, never looking back. Roads in VR were blurry messes before and now they look real. Excited to get JBX later down the road. PNG gave no FPS loss, I actually gained some.

I added the longer train mod in, it’s cool to get stopped and the train is 40 cars long.

Especially the shadows on electrical lines look atrocious.

I use the mod for no traffic that way I can put the highest horsepower engine in the truck and test the max speed on straightaways
I have the density mod too along with All Jazzy Cat traffic mods except overweight and military cargo and I don't get skips or lag spikes.
I have 94 mods in total and my gameplay is smooth at 63fps avg. Try running the density mod above all ai traffic mods

The Project next Gen is really great, worth every penny. Way easier to order and install versus JBX graphics. JBX never sent me all the files I needed to get it to work.
My JBX files are usually in two separate spots with the same name

Jeff you want it on prefer maximum performance also Vsync off in control panel also try Gsync it prevents screen taring but also helps with lag I use Gsync I love it better than Vsync

Great vid and mods. I saw you had more than 3 controllers in the game settings. I recently found my button box (on top of shifter,wheel,pedals) can't be added / recognised, how did you (or anyone) get round this?
Hi Jeff I believe it's the scaling setting your using cause if you already have a High quality monitor you don't need to run scaling high because scaling and ssao and mirror settings does eat up alot of frames

Did you notice a big FPS difference with the graphics mod? I want to purchase it but am playing in VR currently and with my older model GPU I had to do a lot of tweaking just to get playable FPS.
I bit the bullet and bought PNG, never looking back. Roads in VR were blurry messes before and now they look real. Excited to get JBX later down the road. PNG gave no FPS loss, I actually gained some.
