But despite putting up years of strong results, he just couldn’t seem to win a Tier 1 event.
Combo Breaker 2024 was AK’s last chance - his last attempt before he’d give up for good.
But it wasn’t going to be easy - because waiting on the other side was none other than Arslan Ash himself.

One thing to note he carried an organization that already went bankrupt. When PBE’s management left it was only AK and the PBE PUBG team that was left, AK used his tournament winnings and salary to pay the entire PUBG lineup. That’s why I’m so happy he got picked by NaVi.

@@MADXBLU It’s actually bittersweet. He said in a local podcast, If he lost that tournament he would stop playing Tekken because he didn’t have any financial support let alone being paid by an org. So glad Navi picked him up.
He also sacrificed getting a car or going to law school for the combo breaker stint. It paid off in dividends.❤

I watched AK in his glorious run in 2019 and how Arslan swept it away from him live. Seeing him win after Combo Breaker was an amazing vindication
Tbh it's truly refreshing to see that other countries can get their own moments. Remember the old times where korean players dominate tekken that it looks like nobody can beat them? Then comes arslan got us by surprise and now it's AK moment he's year he's season he owned it and now we all thinking who's gonna take it the next season. Good for AK he truly deserve it let's see if he continues to dominate now that he got sponsored💯👍
thanks to the game shaking things up that safe play from korean has always been the only way to play professional tekken. Thank god they changed it in tekken 8.

NGL this is some top level shounen shi-. Arslan, the newcomer who won it against AK, then rapidly became the GOAT. AK, the long time prodigy who can never win the big one. A rematch for the ages where AK finally takes his spot amongst the greatest to ever do it.
Evo Japan 2019 is the first Tekken tournament that I watched and I always happy to be one of people who witnessed the rise of Arslan Ash. Happy to see AK finally got his long-desired champion too. SEA Pride!

The one thing people wanted to cheer against that event was seeing those overtuned characters winning so when Shaheen of all characters was making a run through everyonr was definitely hyped
its a shame its so expensive to compete because ak is clearly one of the best of the best. this might be his first place finish but being able to so many top 3 finishes for so long is one hell of an achievement
