My father served and he passed away when I was 2. I have to say I love this song. Without my father I wouldn’t be the man who I am today that’s for sure. God bless all my vets
As an honorably retired United States Marine.....thank you Jessie James for a beautiful song! I missed some early years with my daughter as she was growing up due to my deployments and field operations. After my son was born....I felt it was time for me to hang up my hat with the Marine Corps career after 20-years of active duty service and spend more time with my family. Once again, thank you for a beautiful song that my daughter may use when it's our time to dance at her wedding... Semper Fidelis Master Sergeant Mark Gonzales United States Marine Corps, Ret.
Mark Gonzales thank you for your service to this country. My grandfather was a Marine deployed to Vietnam. He was a Corporal. My family has a long history in the military with many of my grandfathers and uncles being in the service along with my father and one day I hope to continue it. I would like to attend West Point after I graduate
OMG finally a song that describes me.. Im the Daughter of a Military man! Iv been all over but i know my home is in AL :) Sticking with my dad til he retires
I grew up moving from base to base, both my mother and father served in the Air Force, my brother served in the Army and both of my Grandparents were in the military as well.
My father was a recon in the Desert Storm War in 1991. And I tell you what, I'm damned proud of him, I'm proud of the man he is and I'm proud that I'm just like him. I couldn't ask for a better father, for he's my best friend.
I'm the daughter of a military man, also a wife of a US Marine. I use to love seeing my daddy in his uniform, now i get to see my gorgrous husband in his I found one of the few good men my sweet American dream watching my mother survive deployment after deployment has taught me so much about this life, its the way of life that I understand and im so proud to say it made me who I am today (: oorah
I have always wanted to join the military, but I don't think half as much courage as these great men and women do. God bless all of you. This is a beautiful song. Wonderful job Jessie James.
I cried when i heard this song. My daddy was in it and then my mama had me, He left to take care of me. Just the thought of him not being here with us and knowing hes over seas. Just made me cry my eyes out. Im going to sing this at my school concert just for my daddy!(: Love you dad
I just sat here crying watching this video. That explains my life. I love my dad and all the things he has done, and I feel like I'm going to marry a military man...
Went to the Rodeo Friday night in Utah at the Maverick Center 7/20/2012 . Rodeo was great! But Then WE had a great surprise! Jessie James and This great Band. I have a son Named Jesse James. He is 31 and He was blown away. My wife and I are 64 and loved it!! Then she sung a Led Zeppelin song That would have made them proud. The only thing was it was too short. WE JUST WANTED MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. THE FRAZIER'S
That is really touching... We never stop to realize that our military actively protects more than just America. When I asked my best friend why he joined, he didn't say to protect America. He said to protect people who cannot protect themselves. I am proud of our soldiers and so thankful for them.
This song made me cry because I could relate to it all. My dad's been in the military my entire life and we've lived all over the U.S., constantly having to say goodbye/hello and it's been tough on all of us. He's been deployed and is gone all the time. But I don't regret this life at all. It's hard, but I'm lucky to have had these experiences and I'm extremely proud to say that my dad and brother are serving my country.
United States Air Force 2012; Basic Training starting either September or October.. Following in my Grandfather's footsteps(Senior Master Sargent) served for 20years.. He passed away 1 year ago and since his funeral i made it official to join the USAF in his Honor.. He got to hear of this choice only a few weeks before his passing, so there is no way in hell i will ever back down!.
Awesome video and awesome song. I'm an AF veteran (deployed to Qatar, Guam, and Iraq), member of the Louisiana Army National Guard, Army widow (husband deployed to Egypt, Afghanistan, and Iraq) and a daughter of a Military Man (Vietnam). Granted my dad was out by the time him and my mom got married but he still served and instilled American Pride in me and my brother and step siblings. This song makes me cry. A picture of someone I served in Alaska with shows up a couple of times in the video.
Am i the only one who cried watching this. Never had i heard a song like this describe so well what its like to be a military kid.. Im proud of my military man and military mom
This is such a beautiful song. My dad is in the Navy and I feel like this perfectly describes my childhood.. We need more songs like this to honor our Veterans. Wish they would play this on my local country radio instead of some of the crap about stupid things like drinking and girls in bikinis they play.. This is quality music. Love you Jessie :)
My brother is a marine theyve had to move he's done 2 tours so far n he's come home both times... I cries wen first heard this song my niece is lucky to have a daddy who is a military man ooh rah!
this side of America brings always tears to my eyes, they're so proud and patriotic .. SUCH A GREAT NATION WITH GREAT PEOPLE, As long as America will be there I'll feel safe. And I'm not even american . God bless U.S.A.
Let's just say my eyes are no longer dry after hearing this song. I love my daddy so much. And I'm so proud of what he does. I have been so blessed to have grown up with such amazing communities all over the US.
Well when you are part of a military family, home is not always where the heart is. You live places you don't want to. In some places, home is where your dad hangs his hat :) Signed, proud daughter of a military man :)
Rodrigo Camacho I find is very humerous that you use the "White Power" thing when you clearly don't have a white man's name... xD Like, trolls be funny, but your not even trying enough.
My wife and I at the :58-1:00 second mark on the right and myself I after boot camp graduation from 2:54-2.56 on the left. I can truly say that I am proud to serve!
This is still my favorite song. My Dad is in the Army and has been for about 16 years. I couldn't be prouder to be his daughter. Even though he goes away all the time, four deployments and counting, he is the best man I've ever met and I hope that he knows how proud I am to say that he is my Dad. I love you Dad!
There's a lot of things I learned from my daddy, some were from his military training, but most were from living life. I may be an Air Force brat, but that will never decide for me to date a man in the service. I joined because I knew it was what I wanted. I began to date my boyfriend because he is a great guy, not because he wears the uniform of the US Army. I'm proud of my father and always will be, his background did shape my childhood and life--because his experiences shaped him. 3
Men and women past and present, even future. Thank you for everything you've done. You deserve every kind of thank you, in every language for having the guts to do the job that alot of people wouldn't and won't.I have friends and family in just about every branch and i thank you guys for everything you've done and are going to do.My friends and family in the service have inspired me to start my training for the military young.I love you PFC Eric Burrows, SPC Candray, and Sailor Brown.Yall rock!!
Heard this song on the radio today for the first time. Love it! Here's to my sister and all my military brat friends; we grew up in a world most couldn't imagine and learned to appreciate, first hand, what so many others take for granted. I'm proud of my dad for his service and also my mom for being such a great Air Force wife and mother.

we're floating in the same boat, its my dream to be apart of the army. You're dad must've been a good father, he served his country well, and I'm sure he is missed by many, sorry about your loss. xx
It's hard being a military wife when they leave home to fight war I was a military baby and meet my hubby in a army office they he left and we seen each other again and got married and had a baby boy that is a military baby
My dad was in the army, but died from a spiderbite while he was home.. :( he has always been my hero and im always going to love him and hopefully join the army to carry on his legacy
