William is not being fooled for that long. As Phone Guy says in one of the calls, the springlock suits are designed to turn and walk towards sounds they hear. In FNAF 2, Phone Guy mentions how the animatronics go to your office because they hear you and they think they are in the wrong room. Since the springlocks went off and "killed" William, the suit is in animatronic mode, meaning that William has no control where it goes, so it goes towards the sound of kids.
no (this is my take on it) if I killed a lot of kids and wanted to kill more I probably would instinctively go searching for them even if made f*ck all sense

Well his brain suffered the worst part of the spring lock failure
The Springtrap scene is much more brutal when you realize that the endoskeleton stuff is basically digging into Purple Guy’s body, and reforming, thus mangling the dude’s insides within the endoskeleton
It’s even worse when you read how Afton describes the springlock failure happening to him in the silver eyes book

I know a lot of people disliked this game, but 10:30 was the reason why this game was my favorite. You spend all this time trying to survive SpringTrap, not even knowing that you were facing the very serial killer who killed the children.

It physically hurts when Mark doesn’t use the “reboot all” button when there are multiple things failing at once
It is believed to be slower than rebooting each one on their own
It takes about triple the time to reboot all rather than just rebooting one per so its better
rebooting one takes 6-7 seconds while rebooting all takes 17 seconds so if you have 3 errors rebooting all is more time efficent
If you reboot all it takes like 8 seconds to do it,which gives springtrap more time to get you. It only takes 5 seconds to reboot one, so if you reboot audio first you can call him into the room you want him to be in and then get the ventilation, increasing your chances of survival. I did a test to see which is more beneficial, and I died much more when I rebooted all, because I could actually prevent him from reaching me rather than sitting there for 8 seconds unable to do anything about him trying to kill me if I only got the audio.

Random fun fact: Springlock suits are actually pretty resistant, and deaths barely ever happened even when it was commonly in use, I know the big funny is that Fazbear Entertainment gave death traps to their employees but while getting springlocked is basically death regardless, even that is possible to survive as William survived a springlock failure in the books (and yes I know the books aren't canon to the games, but as Scott said, what is possible in the books, is probably possible in the games too, even if the events themselves aren't exact) springlock suits are generally safe as long as you aren't doing backflips and trying to piss in it, the reason William's suit switched to animatronic mode when he turned into springtrap is because that suit was old and rusty, meaning the springlocks were way weaker, any well kept springlock suit would be very unlikely to snap unless the user trips and fully faceplants into a wall, or if someone dunks an entire bucket of water, and I know there's the warnings about breathing and all that but that's more of a pre-caution, generally, some breath won't instantly kill a person, and also, one thing is that if someone gets a springlock failure, the springlocks aren't ALL connected, the main reason William got a full springlock failure is that getting springlocked HURTS, meaning once a few springlocks get loose, users are likely to react by bumping into something or making sudden movements which would make every other springlock snap back into place, so it's not instantly stabbing all the springlocks back in, it's a chain reaction that slowly snaps them all in place, and of course death isn't instant meaning that is one HELL of a painful death.

I think it was evil, since when someones angry there mouth goes down and when someones evil there mouth goes up and eyebrows go angry looking evil, because he thought he was gonna be invincible because he was in a spirnglock suit
5 years later and it’s still painful watching him reboot the systems individually
Apparently, there IS a strategy to doing it that way. If you reboot the audio, you can start leading Springtrap away from you, even without the cameras working, buying you time to fix the other errors that you might not otherwise have.
Rebooting individually actually saves you time. And as the previous commenter said, once you get audio back, you can lead Afton away from you and fix the rest
@@iitstre_4550technically speaking, rebooting all takes like 8-9 seconds and individual reboot takes 5 seconds, meaning it’s a little bit faster rebooting all than rebooting 2 of the systems individually, but yeah, fixing the audio first is probably better if you’re gonna lure Springtrap away first
