    Nice S-10. Nice and clean, no ghetto wheels. I have a 383/4 speed street/strip S-10. I'm in Phoenix, AZ. We just lost the only drag strip anywhere near our area, closest one is now over 100 miles away and not nearly as nice.

    As far as fuel economy goes, very high Smiles per gallon. Great stuff.

    Looking good buddy. You have done a great job on your build. I watched the video several times, the only thing I will say old guy to younger guy would be turn the pre-stage on and take tiny bumps into the stage bulb. You would be surprised how much difference a couple inches in the stage beams means. I hope you don't take offence with me trying to help.

  • @garyrisley3781
    @garyrisley3781 Před 2 lety +2

    The track looked like a no or light prep I don't know what your ET goal is? But to me it looked like the poor track prep making your truck unable transfer at the hit. lower first gear and 4800+ launch can be hard to be consistent. Good luck with your weight transfer adjustments.

    • @ordinaryguygarage3667
      @ordinaryguygarage3667  Před 2 lety

      The track didn’t have a very good prep from what guys were saying… my main focus of the weekend was to get some passes in and try to get used to the new set up.. I have a lot of suspension work to do as well as staging/ launch technique… I’d like to see 10.50 or better at this track 1400’ elevation

    • @garyrisley3781
      @garyrisley3781 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ordinaryguygarage3667 I really like the way you don't hold the trans break against the engine for very long. If you could try to always stage last and you know the starter at the track you could nail it right after staging giving you more time to watch the lights. It's not easy or we all would get a good light LOL. I know you will get 10.50 more though I hope you get 150 to 200 passes from your engine be for a rebuild.
