I like Olight’s quality, and I’ve got the Arkfeld Pro. I love the magnetic charging! It’s just super easy to connect/disconnect. However, you bring up a very big issue. What happens whenever you leave your charger behind?… you’re either stuck with having to buy one from someplace that may sell them. Or either you have an extra battery, or you’re stuck without a light. That’s why I also believe that usb-c charging is very beneficial. USB-c cables are literally in every gas station or convenient store. Or someone has a phone that has one. Olight is great quality though! So, it’s just another option. Along with my Streamlights and my Thrunite

I ordered the green one, there are a few improvements I'm excited to see.

Is there a benefit for the battery to charging it outside of the light? Or is it just more for if you have multiple batteries that you want to charge and then swap them out as the one in the light gets low? Good video. You really think through a lot of use case scenarios and consider the small details as well.

I just bought the new Javelot for work. I have a variety of O lights often switch them out depending on my assignments. The Javelot should prove useful in a search and rescue operations and or for generalized patrols. I also swap out some FENIX, Thrunite, and Nite Core lights too. All the lights have pros and cons but what matters most is reliability, durability, and the ability to work in very unforgiving cold temps of the Northeast. The cold weather extremes where I work and live can be a flashlights' worst nightmare especially when it comes to battery life.

Great video and review man! I like the "No BS", straight facts approach. I agree with you about the Seeker light. I'm not fond of it, and didn't buy it. I received my Javelot today. So far, I'm happy. We'll see what I think of it when it gets dark. Thanks for a thorough review!

Great review! However, I have reservations about the repetitive warrior-like designs in Olight's lineup. Practically speaking, the real-world performance of these flashlights, including the older M2R Pro, seems to align closely with the new Javelot. Olight appears to be saturating their own market with very similar products, which may lead to cannibalization within their range. Perhaps this is a deliberate strategy, targeting not the average consumer but rather collectors and enthusiasts. While a new color variant of the Warrior might only attract the most devoted fans, introducing a new model, even with minor differences, could excite collectors. In reality, for most practical purposes, the M2R Pro could be just as effective as the Javelot.

You can actually slot charge Olight 21700s. You just either have to put a little magnet on the positive terminal, or there are a few chargers out there that have a more pointed terminal. It's a pain, and defintily a con, but it is possible if you really want to do it.

Such a big light for only 1350 lumens, which is virtually the same as the baton 3, obviously run time should be longer on the Javelot and the increased throw is cool if it’s noticeable. That seeker 4 pro has like 4500 lumens and is about the same size.

I have found you can charge these in the nitecore charger.
Olight do have a 4 stand charger where you can charge 4 lights at the same time. Also, the charging puck, you can order a keyring puck with usbc as its power driver. I keep one in my car.
Yes, whislt not ideal there are work arounds for what is a great product range.

I've just bought this and much prefer it to the Mini (which I bought previously). I've personally found I don't like only having a rear switch as it forces you to hold the flashlight in a certain way and it is not always convenient and also the Mini only had 2 settings. This one has much more adaptability with the side switch and multiple outputs inc. moonlight.
BTW, the charger I have (XTAR X4) DOES charge the Olight 18650 & 21700 batteries. It all depends on the design of the +ve metal strip having a sufficiently steep protruding peak so that it makes contact inside the plastic outer. Those with a shallower bulge will be stopped from making contact by the plastic surround. So, for those interested, try before you buy.

I enjoyed the reviews. I don't agree on the Seeker 4 Pro. I like that the Seeker 4 Pro comes in Neutral White and find it the perfect all around flashlight with its push button/dial you can always get to the right brightness level, e.g. when walking at night. It makes a nice even way to light one's path without an annoyingly overbright hot spot bouncing along. You are right that its a flood so one is not going to get a lot of throw, but if you do need to go to a brighter setting for a quick check into the distance, one can use dial to get back to a lower setting without having to cycle past an overly low setting.
You had the Seeker 4 Pro in your truck. I would leave it there and add the Javelot. Then you can use the appropriate light and switch the batteries as needed for use or charging with a USB C cable. Actually you mention you have several Olights so just leave a MCC cable in your vehicle and EDC electronics kit and you will be covered so you are not without a charger like you mentioned at 12:40. With both lights you would have two ways to charge or could charge both at the same time.
I am disappointed that the rear magnet is not stronger on the Javelot, but I guess that is the price one pays for a larger light that includes a tail switch. Glad you show that so I know what to expect. I think the Javelot with its addition of a side switch is going to make it a much more flexible light than the Javelot mini. As you mention, the Javelot is not the ideal light to examine your circuit breakers, but with the side switch enabling a moonlight mode, it could be pressed into service if that was the only working light that you had. I don't have one yet so I cannot check how feasible that is, or whether the low 15 lumen mode might also work. Interesting that in standard mode one can also get 15 lumens with the tail cap, as opposed to say medium. Although I can see arguments for either, since I can always get to turbo, I think I prefer the 15 lumens for a quick close-up check of something without blowing out my night vision, in at least one eye.

If you ever want to charge Olight batteries, clip a small piece of copper, such as from electrical wire so that it falls into the tiny hole of the Olight battery. Now it will make contact with the charger.
