Been to the event 3 times. Always stayed with the locals. It is nice to spend the week and pace yourself. After a day in heat, I would go sit in a AC theater and watch anything to cool off. Air show gave inspiration for building a Murphy Rebel. No longer flying. Highlight was watching Hoover and Yeager onstage together telling old stories.

I have to thank you for the great RV coverage of the event. I live in WI now and inherited the Company of Eagles from my best friend that used to supply some of the vendors at the show with insignia's. I want to bring my RV and do the show sometime and was wondering what it was like from the RV perspective. I am rebuilding the company with the bullion patches and other stuff. Keep the video's coming!

I've watched your videos for a while and never realized you were fellow aviators. That's cool. My first Oshkosh was in '73, when I was in college. Been back sporadically throughout the years since. I've been to SNF probably more only because it's closer and the lodging is more plentiful in the area there. Lately OSH has become the much better show. SNF has basically the same setup for RV's, spots with water, elect. for a select few VIPs.

We seen your rig, but never ran across you outside. We camped in the generator area out west towards the interstate, in our hybrid. But friends of ours were a few coaches down from you.
I took my girlfriend there for the first time last year (I’ve been going for a few years) and now AirVenture week is the first weeks vacation we schedule! Angie, she completely agrees with you, the outhouses, shower houses and grounds are the cleanest and best maintained, that you’ll ever find! And....it doesn’t last LONG ENOUGH!!! LOL
Safe travels and hopefully we’ll catch up with you next year! Osh23!!

Nice video. I will subscribe. I've been going to EAA every year since 1987, and with my girlfriend since 1996. Started off sleeping in my car, to a tent with a/c, to a travel trailer. The EAA campgounds are a cut above most permanent campgrounds. Especially when you consider it is only for a few weeks. Electric and water/sewer are slowly being expanded to the West each year. Much to the chagrine of the dry campers. I volunteer in the mornings with the kids parking cars, and then work with the various CAF units on the field, or have the rest of the day off. Our volunteer camping area is next to the Blue lot, and only a block from the SOS Bros. beer tent. So, our group hits the beer tent every night for many adventures. Love to touch base with you when you hit the beer tent. Just look for the "Devil Dog" B-25 guys usually between the bar and kitchen. We would love to hear some of your Rv stories. First round is on me! Craig H.

Just stumbled upon your channel and it's cool to hear about your experiences, especially this one about staying in Oshkosh (and attending the EAA event). I would like to go to this part of the country at some point, especially since my 91 year old dad lives in Winneconne, WI (about 15 miles from there). Plus, during my youth our family had a summer cabin north of there in Eagle River.
I love your beautiful Tiffin diesel-pusher, and know when it comes to RV-ing it's at the 'top-of-the-food-chain' and the envy of a lot of travelers.
I live in San Diego and have a 35' 2002 National Dolphin 5456 Class A, with a Workhorse (8.1L gas) chassis, with about 20k miles on it. It can pull a vehicle, but would rather not attempt to pull either my car or Ford Bronco behind it, especially on all the mountainous grades we have out here in the West.
So, I'm in the process of building a very nice motorcycle trailer (from Harbor Freight) to pull my BMW K1200GT behind it so my significant other and I have another vehicle (like you and other RVers do).
Anyways, I look forward to seeing more of your videos and hearing about your experiences (good or bad), so keep them coming!

Lived in Oshkosh for 28 years. Owned and operated a high end audio store for 13 years in downtown Oshkosh. Worked for Oshkosh Chassis Division for 5 years, then Freightliner purchased the division (motorhomes/step vans/school buses). Relocated us to Portland, Oregon (corp hq) as manager of call center. After 6 years, accepted a Technical Sales Managers position for the new Freightliner Custom Chassis Division (motorhome division in Gaffney, SC.) I was the factory representative for FCCC and my major accounts were Tiffin, Winnebago, and Triple E of Canada. Spent most of my time at Tiffin and Winnebago. Tiffin people are amazing, Bob Tiffin was the most dedicated customer service person ever. He would do anything for his customers. Maybe when you have another concern with your chassis, you can either bring it to the factory repair center (the best and most experienced technical people in the US.) Or call the customer assistance call center (24/7) at 1 800 FTL HELP. We were there to help all of the people who purchased FCCC chassis. They are great customer service people, who have years of experience on both the technical and customer service side. If needed the very best person to talk is Tony Sipple who is the Director of Sales (was the technical sales manager for a number of mfg in the Elkhart area.) Years of experience (an engineer) and knows everyone in our industry. Don't tell him I told you to call. But any of the CSR's will help and work with you and the dealership. That is there job to handle problems and concerns. Good luck and please ask for help if you need it. The factory people are great. You can also tour the production plant here in Gaffney, SC, and we have hook ups at the service facility for when you coach is being serviced. Lived in Gaffney now 20 years, and enjoy the town and all my years at Freightliner Custom Chassis. Last position was with Detroit Diesel as the Southeastern Regional Parts Manager.

Try being silent steady cam once in a while, hold the camera lower, stand back, bring Angie gently forward to the mic and lens, view your own footage, make it more equal, above all don't record with engines running so near you. Still a good show but it could be a great one.

If you want power and water, they start selling those spots at the end of June. Watch the page a couple times a day until they start to sell about 1/2 of the spots. Once that happens the rest will go in a matter of hours. Normally, those spots sell out 2 weeks in advance of the show. If you don't need power and water, you can buy a spot a day or so in advance, however, it may be a mile or so from the airfield. They do run busses all day.

    *Newly Updated Safety Suggestions;
I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living.
Although, I just noticed your CZcams channel, and other similar channels, displaying van living.
I just wanted to remind everyone to Aware Be of your surroundings and Alert, I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions
I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc...
People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living.
I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself.
Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this.
I feel that you , and others CZcamsrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful.
I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors.
I shared this with several other travelers, as I watched their CZcams channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others.
Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience.
Although, you may have knowledge of this already,
I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone.
*Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle.
You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage
Do your research for the best fit for you
Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables.
    Consider theses items:
    *Mini portable power charging station.
I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices.
*Invest in a Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell signal and reception.
Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal.
Research to see what you prefer.
    *Very Inportant:
Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location.
There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating, or camping situations.
*Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders.
Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone.
There are some satellite SOS texting messaging, locator devices that will send messages with your phone even if there isn’t any cellular signal, or WiFi. With this device your can still text, and communicate with others in a emergency satellite transmission.
Check online, for various emergency SOS products, some are small to fit in the palm of your hand.
You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you.
*Mini portable vehicle battery jumper charger
    *vehicle battery jumper cables
    *Vehicle Jumper cables
    *Keep a Fire extinguisher handy
Carbon monoxide detectors can be helpful
*Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly.
    Exterior vehicle cameras
    Interior vehicle cameras
    *Flashlights or pluggin spotlights
    *Portable spotlights, and lanterns
Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console
*A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, to communicate with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies.
Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons.
    Don’t forget to bring
    Bear Spray
    Pepper spray
    Where is allowed
If you own a drone you can use it to survey your area for animals etc.
However, Please Be Safe and Beware of your Surroundings.
Stay Alert, and Be Safe even when stopping at Rest stops, Truck Stops, and conducting your various tasks.
Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc.
Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions.
    Keep your vehicle gas filled
Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty.
Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on.
Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze.
Remember Because you are on the road riding for sometimes very long distances, and long periods of time, I would suggest investing in 2 sets of tires, and a spare, the extra set to rotate.
Check the mileage ratings on your tires they all very.
Conduct visual inspections of your tires often, check for damage, wearing, air pressure, etc
Keep a pressure gauge to check your tires pressure and a tire pump.
Keep towing insurance to Be Safe if you ever need it.
It Doesn’t cost much try to get National coverage if available, or where you will be traveling.
Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors.
    Keep Enjoying Yourself,
Keep Enjoying the outdoors, and Nature
    Just..Please continue to
    Be Positive, Safe, and Alert..
Wishing Success, Well-being and Happiness You All.
    God Bless You, and everyone
Traveling, or living in their vehicles, Vans, RVs, etc.

Why not just pump it at the pump..def. Save your containers and fill a couple for emergencies. Def used to be 2.99$/gal two years ago. I’m guessing you are retired?

I’ve had bad diesel before too.. but it didn’t stop me from buying at a truck stop again lol. 20$ for 2 1/2 gallons is outrageous… when they do that
