For some context; Zack first mentioned in a magazine article (year end review type thing, RS or Spin) that he thought "B.O.B" was the most exciting thing he'd heard that year. Outkast had also mentioned in a different interview around that time, that they were RATM fans and wouldn't mind working together; so I guess it happened.
If you're a Rage fan, you can tell it's Zack counting off the "1, 2..." In the beginning. He's also a multi instrumentalist; and as there's new drums, guitars and other instruments in the background of this remix; I wouldn't be surprised if he played them all.
Yeah, he's such an underrated performer--doesn't get his due credit IMO.

i think i remember hearing this on 99x as they played outkast all the time. it was unusual for a modern-rock station to play outkast but then again. outkast was from the ATL and the station wanted to represent great local music. plus, people dug outkast. black, white, hispanic, asian, whatever. everyone in the ATL that i knew LOVED outkast.
