Absolutely amazing! I have watched at least 10 other videos and yours is the best. What are the chances you have a current video on how to switch to using blocks if you are currently using the Classic Editor Plugin. I am afraid to disable it until I can find a walk thru!
Your video is great and I am learning a lot. You said we cannot make a pattern out of a button, and you were correct, sort of... I have version 6.6.1 and when I click the button, I don't get the "create pattern" option. But, when I go to the outline and click on the button group, i.e. button
The header and footer should be able to be edited under Appearance>Customize in your wp-admin area and not in the block editor for a post or page itself.

Question for anyone who knows: I only have a choice to use elementor for writing. But I don't want that. Do I need to disable the entire plugin or is there a setting, so I can just WP block editor instead? Also, where is the option to get the floating box with "Short code, youtube videos, ect" I had some help on my site and now I can' t find my old wordpress post writer 😢
You would want to check with elementor for their current limitations with the editor but they do offer a block plugin to use with the Gutenberg editor. wordpress.org/plugins/block-builder/
If I write in google docs and then copy and paste I can't add blocks, short code, or video into the body of the article? Does it have to be written in wordpress? Every time I try to add a block in the middle it puts it at the bottom....
The simplest method to add a block inbetween content would be to cut the content below where you want to add a block, add in the block then paste the content beneath your new block if your editor is putting all of the text in one block.

For the moment that is not possible with how themes are set up to duplicate the templates and color pallets but possibly in the future.
How about header and footer?

It should not be theme specific, unless you have a plugin that is preventing the block inserter then this should work in sites using the block editor.
