Nick is the most peaceful of all the protagonists when trying to reason with the psychopath as long as he didn't even kill them but tried to stop them and they died because of their own fault
Fun fact: The guy who died of a heart attack was the sin of sloth. And the way his fight is you don't fight him. You fight his drones all the while he taunts. And as so you get to where he is hiding he gets scared of nick and dies to a heart attack. It is such a clever way to do the sin of sloth fight.

Kenny, or "Kick",is the Envy Psycho,you were right about that.Basically,early on, you help him out as a survivor, so he REALLY looks up to Nick (who is this game's hero). So his deal is pretty much that he wants to kill Nick and "replace" him.

A good bunch of Psychopaths in this game represent the seven deadly sins
Zhi (the monk) - Wrath
Darlene (fat lady) - Gluttony
Dylan (gimp mask guy) - Lust
Albert (killer doctor) - Greed
Kenny (nerdy guy who calls himself "Kick") - Envy
Jherii (female bodybuilder) - Pride
Theodore (guy in the mansion) - Sloth
Also, Kenny's boss fight is only triggered if you save him beforehand. He starts REALLY looking up to Nick, to the point of wanting to replace him as the hero. And he's also the only psychopath in this game that you can save after his fight. You get his weapon, and he'll apologize for acting like a jerk, and will help you out if you save him from the zombies.
Damn shame there wasn’t a DLC where you could end up saving all the (optional 7DS) psychopaths like Kenny. I feel if there were special side missions, like collecting something specific or wearing a specific outfit etc, where you could convince them to overcome their sins and join you. Honestly, would have loved to have the Super Sin Squad running around with me.

Albert and Dylan are too evil. Dylan tortures people for his sadistic and perverted fun, and Albert kills people to sell their organs at the black market.
The others can be saved and convinced in some way, shape or form
Also, technically, the only mandatory fight out of the 7DS psychopaths is Albert.
Looks like the Envy Sin, Can be saved.

the only ones i can see being saved alongside kenny are zhi and jherii, dylan and albert are way to psycho, darlene is to focused on eating to listen to anything you could say, and theodore dies before you can say anything to him (and being how he is, wouldnt believe nick if he told him about the zombies when they were talking at the start), Zhi could be saved because hes just angry at everything cause he keeps getting the short hand, and maybe showing him how hes winning cause hes still alive could convince him, and jherii wasnt even hostile until nick called her sir so just…. dont say sir
edit: i will also say jherii is definitely the most “forced” psychopath, you can tell she was only added to finish the deadly sins thing, and even then they had to really force the fight to happen
The sins in order in Dead Rising 3: Wrath, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Pride, Sloth and Envy.
Lust voice acting is pure terror.
For the last boss, Kick, after the cutscene you can decide if you want to save him or let him get eaten. I always save him because he is so lame it's funny. :)
Plus you have to if you want the achievement of rescuing all 24 unique survivors, Not the random ones you see in the streets.
(It says 25 in the game, but that was a error.)
It would have been cool if they showed the actual fights, I like the psychopath themes and the overall gameplay of DR3
The Psychopath theme in DR3 is 7 Deadly Sins.
What were the bikers supposed to rep? Kung fu guy was wrath, rascal lady gluttony, body builder pride, gimp lust, doctor greed, nerd envy, drone guy was sloth.

Those bosses were a mix of sins. For Campbell is Pride or Wrath too.
For Diego its weirdly enough pride too with some sloth mixed in.
For scarface lady its also pride. For Red its greed.
But unlike the 7ds these bosses are not as one-note and more complex.
Harry: Wrath
Theodore: Sloth
Jherrii: Pride
Dylan: Lust
Darlene: Gluttony
Kenny: Envy
Albert: Greed.

in light of a zombie apocalypse, the most dangerous aspect isnt the zombies, but other people, they can really become monsters.
I think the flamethrower bdsm guy is the best psycho aesthetically it feels like every detail of his costume adds to his character design. I'm saying that as an artist not personal taste wise, to clear up any possible questions that might come up from my comment.

Everything that makes Dead Rising unique was pretty much gutted or removed completely (the timer,the unique Psychopath boss fights,etc.

There's this "insider" who claimed a while back that Capcom is working on a reboot of the franchise (hopefully a remake like the resident evil games have been getting), and I've been keeping my fingers crossed for a reveal SOMEWHERE.
It’s somewhat typical for a game to make bosses based on the seven deadly sins, but in Dead Rising’s case, they went and made the seven stereotypical sins, and the mere giveaway was the twisted gimp as Lust, and a Karen as Gluttony
3:12 the leader of the biker gang was a DLC stories that got you get the play as and then a few seconds later Nick comes. If have you played the main story you know what happens next.

Technically Jerii is an optional boss. You can avoid her and she becomed the only irredeemable psychopath to survive.

This must be the reason why that series start fucking up here. Where in the other games the Psychos were actually threatening and scary. The psycho either very brapey for no reason or It's a dramatic Stereotype.
Well yes, of course it's stereotypes. It's thematic of the 7 deadly sins, so it's gonna be that singular trait taken to its extremes.
and yet that's how stereotypical a person can be, you'd be surprised how quickly someone will get horned up when things are looking bleak, it's a self-defense mechanism after all, your mind can only take so much bad, so it struggles to find some good, no matter how primal.
Now I want to make Dead Rising Psychos reaction with my friends who have never played this series. Awesome video. Gluttonous Darlene is one of my favorite psychos from the series.

Love the Dead Rising games! While the first is still my favourite, 2 & 3 still share a place in my heart. Also, with Alan Wake 2 out, just wondering if you guys are up for reacting to the Bright Falls mini series that was put out to advertise the first game? It's shockingly well directed and perfect for Halloween!
here's hoping Capcom makes another Dead Rising game one day, but if not, oh well. i just wish that there was a GOTY edition to play on PC, i'd be down for that.

If you continue the spiritual metaphor in the story. It gives you a another story reason why Nick is very important character in The Dead Rising story.
The music for the bosses in this game is SO good.
Also, Hunter's Death is a very metal way to go.

I think Bethany (hope a spelled it right) made an excellent point these characters are based on the seven deadly sins. The only thing is that I don't get how the first psycho plays into it and there seemed to be two lusts but that's probably because the Dead Rising devs liked the idea of both characters!
Actually most of them are based off of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Asian man was Wrath, the buff woman was Pride, the fat lady was Gluttony, the doctor was Greed, the gimp guy was Lust, the guy in the mansion was Sloth, and Kick/Kenny is Envy. All the others are story bosses and aren’t based on the sins (except the doctor, he’s the only Sin Psychopath that is a story boss). This also left out at least 2 Psychopaths, both of them from the story which was weird.
@@EmperorKaykore Interesting! The biker gang leader seemed more wrathful to me. The first guy seemed legitimately upset. He lost everything including his sanity and wants to keep his people off his land (the only thing he has left). While the biker guy kills his own crew and looks to destroy everything else (out of a love of chaos or lack of care for humanity IDK).
@@timelink3315 The Asian man was Wrath because of his hatred for the universe at what happened to him and his desire to enact his rage by killing others. The biker guy is just an a-hole anarchist who doesn’t care about anything except being able to do whatever he wants.

First two games were good stuff. Third was fine; not the same level as the first two, but it wrapped the story of DR up in a nice bow.
The series ended with 3... No, really. There is no fourth game. I will not hear this blasphemy.

You should watch the Dead Rising 3 All Weapons and Vehicles video. Starting from Dead Rising 2 they allowed the user to craft weapons to make zombie killing more over the top.

Dead Rising 3 is a very fun game, with a very crappy marketing introduction.
What I mean by that is, Capcom apparently did a very bad job promoting the game when it was revealed by only showing off the zombies and guns. When they should have shown off the combo weapons and psychopaths since that’s part of what gives the franchise its identity.
And these Psychopaths are in my opinion more memorable than fans give them credit for.
Though I have to mention they left out a lot of boss battles because they’re part of the story. Even though some of the ones we saw are part of the story too.
It’s such a shame DR3 wasn’t highly regarded until the 4th game came out, ruined the franchise, and everyone appreciated 3 a lot more.

So you don't waist your time looking for a compilation like this for the forth game, there isn't any (some boss fights but Psychos get no cool intro and death scene), part of the reason why there is no 5th entry.

The most annoying psycho of all is the doctor cuz when you fight him he takes all your weapons and items zombies you fight or not real and they can even be the survivors that you're trying to save

Some of the Psychopath boss fights (Like the police lady and the bikers) is a mandatory fight, but the 7 optional Psychopaths are based on the 7 sins.

I really don't like Nick, he's just boring and passive. Frank was a self serving jerk, Chuck was an apathetic action hero, Nick - could have been the optimistic straightman, but they just had him act like a 'normal guy' , and it really did a disservice I feel to the plot. There are SO many psycopaths he met, that it seems like he could've just talked down. For Frank he wouldn't have done that, the guy goes crazy is good for his story, Chuck wouldn't do it, he doesn't care, but Nick seems like he SHOULD care - yet he just stands and watches people die, the whole time acting like it was an unavoidable act of god.
