  • Talk's Kevin O'Sullivan is joined by head of policy for Net Zero Watch, Harry Wilkinson to discuss Labour deciding to uphold their £11.6bn overseas climate aid. Energy secretary Ed Miliband said he wanted to re-establish the UK as a global leader.
Kevin adds that whilst the fuel allowance for some pensioners is being taken away "this is insanity, it's virtue signalling on a global scale.".

Exactly the same stuff happening in Australia under useless Woke PM Anthony Albanese and his treasonous Labor Party pigs in the trough, pushing renewables and energy prices keep going up.
Wind & solar projects are decimating farm land, beautiful mountain landscapes and protected area habitats of koalas & platypus, it is environmental vandalism and an unsustainable economic disaster.
Labor just spend, lie, scam & tax, worst govt ever.

Indeed, and the winter fuel payments cost about 1/5th of this sum. If they had made this 9.6 billion they could have kept the fuel payments. It all makes the fuel thing look like a punishment on the old for not conveniently dying when they retired.

Net Zero is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels have the following net beneficial effects: greening of the planet with increased agricultural yields (main effect), reduced winter heating costs, fewer deaths from hypothermia and postponement of the next glacial maximum. These benefits are especially significant in cold areas such as the UK.
Net Zero needs to be urgently abandoned and the most economical energy, transportation and agricultural resources available need to be utilised.

If they grilled all the MPs would they find any that actually liked the people over whom they rule. Have things actually changed in essence since 1066 with a continuing rule by outsiders over a heavily disliked subject people. The anguish caused by the recent breach with France makes you wonder if much has really changed since the awful Angevins ruled us. The reins of power are just perpetually handed over between a very exclusive group, promoting their own very narrow interests, focused entirely outside this country and its people.
