Everest but due to Covid the concert was canceled. In the live streaming concert *Saiki* address the fans and said how much *BAND-MAID* missed performing live to their *Masters and Princesses* and was followed up with this song that *BAND-MAID* has made for their fans. 🐦 *Saiki:* We were supposed to meet you today. For the first time in a year, we thought we could meet you all, those of you who could come to see us, but we can’t meet you in the end. I’m sorry. Even though it’s not my fault. We have been having days of turmoil for about a year. In the beginning, we were very surprised because we hadn’t experienced it before, and we had no experience of not being able to meet others in person. We were sad, but we found we shouldn’t be sad in this situation. When I saw you *masters and princesses* on social media, you were more depressed than us, and we thought that’s terrible. We *BAND-MAID* have been thinking about how to cheer up all of you in the last one year. We truly wanted to meet you at Nippon Budokan, but it’s impossible because of COVID, so let’s wait for the day when we can meet. And in the last one year… or in the COVID pandemic, we have become more eager to cheer you up, and we *BAND-MAID* realized again it’s important to give our songs to you. That’s why we wrote this song for Budokan. We made the album also in the pandemic, so it might have a little similar feel, but this song is planned for Nippon Budokan, and we really want to give it to you masters and princesses now. Budokan is not our goal but just a stepping stone. We will perform at bigger venues, and we promise we will bring you there and give you even better songs, so let’s keep it up a little more. The most incredible aspect of this song, at least for me, is that every one of them, including Misa on bass and Akane on drums, plays their own melody but still keeps the perfect harmony and tonality of this song.
BAND MAID is a hard rock live band, but they have over 100 different tastes, from beautiful melodies and harmony ballads to ultra-fast progressive rock. Daydream is recommended for ballads, and Blooming is recommended for middle tempo rock. For hard rock songs, Dice and Differentials ・Manners may be good.
This is a love letter for the fans in the Age of Covid...almost an apology for having to cancel Budokan gig. Saiki gave a short speech explaining before the song.
And who, among us didn't 😭 just a little the first time (or after) we heard it? BTW I think this could double as a song to a loved one who's far away and won't be back for a while.

@@GaryHolloway-810 I think Mirela didn't pay attention to the lyrics because she was concentrating so much on the beautiful sounds of vocals and instruments. Otherwise, she would get emotional and tearing before the end of the song. In any case, I think she is taking proper steps toward to be a Maidiac. The question is I don't know which B-M song to suggest for her next. Since she liked About Us and "Life" by Nemophila so much, a mid-tempo song such as Before Yesterday or Daydreaming will do? Or should I suggest the Manners+Black Hole video for her to see which song she likes more?

With BM siongs, the right side audio channel is ALWAYS Kanami’s corner aka Kanamincho. She’s the Lead guitarist, Songwriter and Arranger of the band. On this track she plays both the acoustic and electric guitar. Btw her primary instrument was piano which she learned from a very young age and eventually got into guitar in highschool. She still composes many of her songs in piano. Kanami is quiet and very soft spoken offstage but the moment she’s onstage with her guitar, her personality flips a 180, so much that her bandmates often need to calm her down so she doesn’t do something crazy. There are some fancams of her axe kicking the drums too 🤣

I didn't even say anything about myself or my personal opinions on their music. it's one of my favorite b-m songs, as are many of their slower songs, infact. So take your smartass sarcasm and shove it up ur "friends" arse. Blind fanboyism sucks though, and no they aren't the best individual musicians in the world either, which is again another typical thing people in every single fangroup say (well 90% of the ppl atleast) and they don't have to be.

Real fans can criticize their favorite bands and want them to improve in whatever way they feel they should, no one is perfect, literally.
And what's the criticism of this ? Can't have a slow song or two per album. That has roughly 10-14 songs on it ? Just asking for a friend .
