I own this deck, and I instantly fell in love with the art work, diversity, color, inclusivity, modern interpretation, and the high quality card stock. Unlike other straight women, I didnât feel the absence of men in this deck was necessarily a negative. Straight, white men have been predominantly represented in most works of art, and so, this modern take that focuses on women and gender fluidity feels fresh and fair. It might not be for everyone, and thatâs okay; at least it exists as an option for those of us who embrace the feminine and want to feel empowered with this unique deck in our hands.
I totally agree with your comment! I just purchased this deck a few weeks ago from Barnes and Nobles and i absolutely love the diversity it offers. Iâm still bonding with it.

I think the knight and king cards etc... look masculine enough that you can still Interpret a Male energy if you need to.

I been looking at this deck none stop for 3 days, i had a little victory that saved me 600 dollars today so i spent the 40 cad on the cards! i adore them, I been seeing lots of diversity complains not only for men on the cards but for older folk but it honestly doesn't bother me, its the modern witch deck so i think it fits its name. the colors are amazing, i love that they are a modern version of the rider waite. i been looking at getting that deck for months but i wasn't a fan of the color and art on it so i held myself off, im glad i did!

I went to barnes and noble to get the rider waite deck but i seen this deck and i was drawn to it i sat and looked at them both side by side and was forcing myself to go with the rider but in the end i went with this one and im so happy i did

Both my friend and I have been looking to get into tarot for years now but were never sure where to start until one day we decided to check out the tarot decks at Barnes and noble. There we met this amazing woman who recommended a tarot store for us to visit so we can find a deck that truly resonated with us and Iâm so glad she did. Thatâs where I found this baby and it was the first one that caught my eye but not the first one I picked up funnily enough, yet after looking through an entire wall of decks I found myself being drawn to this one and the minimalistic artwork. I never thought Iâd actually get a tarot deck and even when I was at the register I was questioning if I was really going to use it or if I should but I fell in love with it instantly. Luckily it doesnât mind answering my incessant questions and seemingly loves to mess with me as I always see the 5 of swords which is slowly driving me mad lol but itâs so fun to just sit and shuffle and looking at the artwork. Honestly I feel like a proud parent because Iâll see other tarot decks and be like eh not as pretty as the modern witch and I feel like itâs becoming a problem lol sorry for the novel but I just love this deck so much and am beyond excited that I picked it up and finally started reading tarot, as clueless as I may be, itâs something Iâve been interested in for years and am finally opening myself up to learning it for real. I definitely recommend this deck to anyone who is interested, the artwork wonât disappoint thatâs for sure.

Ive been looking for a RWS deck for ages coz all the tarot books use it as their basis but Iâm not a massive fan of the artwork or the colours on the usual deck and Iâve never found one i like enough to actually buy. Usually Iâm into the really artistic and borderline abstract decks but i love this one. Itâs close enough to the RWS while still being different and unique enough that i can really see myself using it and loving it. Itâs not available on amazon for me yet and i dont really have the money for it rn but when those criteria are filled, Iâm definitely getting it

Thank you for the review. I love how modern this deck is! I love how body positive and culturally diverse it is. Go Lisa Sterle! An awesome must own. It is perfect for beginners and young 20's as their first deck. I do wish it had a better guide book, so if it is a first deck for someone give a tarot book along with it, to help them learn. It is very close to the raider waite smith original art work. What a cool updated version of the tarot.

i love decks that very clearly have been hand-painted, with watercolors or otherwise, and have darker hues, like the cosma visions tarot or the raven prophecy tarot, but inclusive, all-women decks definitely do it for me

Was a great idea by Miss Steele and I'm glad she made it.
I have the rider Waite deck as well but I feel like instantly just seeing these cards I connect more with the images.

I had a deck before I bought this one but I am actually in love with this deck. I really feel like Iâm learning more about myself through it.
And I canât bring myself to separate the cards from the box so I store mine in the box, then the box wrapped in my tarot mat that I just recently finished hand stitching, and then that goes into a crown royal drawstring bag lol.
I really love this deck now and will be adding to my wishlist! I love the diversity and feminine energy. Also reading a few of comments, creators canât please everyoneâs taste. I think this deck is badass and amazing â€ïž

I love this deck! It's what I learn and study tarot with. It's perfect for study because it has all the symbolism of the Rider-Waite that the tarot books talk about, but it's so inclusive and has such a pretty colour palette that it's- I'm just gonna say it- an improvement.
Also! I have a deck request (if you take them)! The Vanessa Tarot in a Tin! It was under $15 last I checked, also the Modern Witch deck and the Vanessa deck I sort of group together in my mind.
I just bought this deck for my daughter for her 36th birthday! It just felt like a deck she would like and that might give her the incentive to begin a journey with the Tarot. I'm using a Rider-Waite deck and am sticking with it for the time being.

I'm personally drawn to any kind of decks that have amazing art/illustrations. That's what really draws me in.

To answer your question on preferred deck aesthetic: I love brighter happy colors. I looked at the Kawaii Tarot deck as my first for a long time but never ended up getting it. Iâm so happy that I have this deck now. I have a feeling this is MY deck ya know

This was my very first deck and I still have to this day, it is a great deck for beginners but I wish there was more in depth reversals but I learned eventually and actually pretty good to develop intuition!
love the look of this deck. i've only recently been interested in exploring tarot, but really can't stand the look of the general Ryder Waite. i've had 3 traditional looking decks for many years. in fact they were off to the local spca shop before all of the madness, which i've never felt drawn to. this is now high on my list for a base beginner study. cool :-) tfs

Hello I received the Witches tarot today, I love this game. But it turns out that the card "The King of pentacle" has a small tear behind.
I do not know how to do ? I have a few questions, to remedy it:
- Should I only use the major arcana, is that okay?
- Do I have to draw with my eyes closed?

Great video! I really really love the diversity in this deck. Most tarot decks doesn't have this, unfortunately, and I love that you said tarot is for everyone. I totally agree on this! I also enjoy some of the modern images and the feminine energy is spot on. While I wouldn't purchase this deck for myself (I wish it was more modern because I'm still getting the RWS backgrounds), I see buying this for a friend who likes more feminine energy in their decks. I love the deck! I have the deluxe with patch, pin, and cloth. My only conplaint is the stiffness of the cards..however with that comes great stock. And with the gold edges it caused them to stick together! So i can definitely overlook that.

Iâve just started getting into tarot cards I really love this deck from this video and what Iâve seen on amazon but Iâm a beginner Iâve never had a deck before and Iâve been read before by a close friend a while ago and got really drawn to tarot is this good for beginners
I do think this is good for beginners. The images allow you to figure out what is going on and the book is helpful. â€

You can totally do reversals. If you need help with the meanings, you can purchase a tarot guide book or look them up online.
I found this deck on amazon and the reviews said that the cards werent made from good material.i plan on using this deck often is it something you'd recommend for a baby witch?
Absolutely. The card stock could be better, but the imagery and the book is a great start for you.

I love this deck. The imagery is beautiful and I get good messages with it. My only complaint, is how thick the deck is. I canât riffle the deck, it is so stiff. Has anyone else had this issue? My hands arenât too small but shuffling is hard. But this is my go to deck right now.
Yes I have that same issue! I love this deck, but I cant really shuffle it like a deck of cards, I have to pass it through my hands. But I love this deck.
I purchased this deck in January, it was my first deck. Since then, I have purchased another tarot deck and many oracle decks. This one by far is the hardest to shuffle, which makes me shy away from it even though I love the imagery.

I like this deck... Iâm actually debating between this one, the ostera deck and the everyday witch tarot. I like the idea of having a mini deck because I donât have any so I may wait for the mini everyday witch tarot... itâs like $10 preorder at Walmart. So it would be between the 2. Any opinion?
I am really in love with my everyday witch tarot. But the modern witch tarot is also one of my go to decks. I say which ever one is calling to you more. Like if you could flip a coin, what choice would you hope it would land on? If you're looking for something closer to the traditional pictures while still being modern and inclusive, I'd go with the Modern Witch. If you like whimsy and fun and a more positive vibe, the Everday Witch is perfect. I havent used my Ostara deck too much, so I'm not too connected to it. But I will say that it's beautiful and just takes a bit to get used to. So hopefully that helps a bit. It's all personal preference really. Let me know what one you choose!

They are stiff. It does get a bit easier over time, but not to where they are super flexible.

I love this deck, but find it incredibly difficult to shuffle.
I love this deck so much but was disappointed when I was shuffling the edges started to tear up has this happened to anyone else
Miss Hasnât been released here yet, but I think you should contact customer service because thatâs not okay and the card stock is supposed to be high quality!
Ive been using it and yes, my edges are tearing. I was quite shocked but at the same time, I am pretty hard on my decks when I shuffle. But yeah, it happened really quickly, so Im glad its not just me. Super disappointing.

I do as well. I usually just have to side shuffle them. But I love them.
Same, they are definitely not the easiest to shuffle but itâs 100% worth it with the gorgeous artwork

I love this deck the only thing I would change is that I wish there more male representation bc like as a cis white guy the only cards I can relate to as far as the people depicted in the deck is king of penticles possibly the knight of penticles and the emperor like donât get me wrong I love the fact there is a lot of representation but I wish there was atleast some white guys in the deck still love it tho

I can see that. But I do love different interpretations of the energies.
People started using Tarot for "fortunetelling" only in XVIII century, long after the Middle Ages, so these inquisition themed drawings are kind of off imho.
I like it but i don't like how they called the hanged man the hanged one; oops this is a card deck for SJW and Feminist, if you roll with that crowd then ok but just as a normal person I don't like how they made it so weird, the design is absolutely gorgeous but it's just too SJW for me, personally i like to focus on the spirit not race, gender and sexuality.
I love this deck, but I was soooo disappointed when I realized that this deck basically eliminates men. I love the womenâs empowerment feel, but it seems unbalanced if you are a straight woman or if you are doing a reading on a man.
I see your point, but I feel like it is still useable in those situations too. It's all in how you interpret it, in my opinion. The aspects are still there. â€
