Interesante video. Vine queriendo saber si era posible cambiar se aceite pero ya veo que si. Te puedes dar de alta en la web de renault como profesional y tener acceso a todos los manuales de taller y esquemas eléctricos
Thank you. I believe it's a very long oil change interval because there are no wearing parts like synchronizers. Thanks for the tip about renault manuals I'll try to find where to get access.
Thank you I need it to know the time and it wakes me up in the morning, that's it I don't need the smart stuff there is enough smart things and people around me! I bought the watch for 19.90€ from web shop I believe it's original. I have been using this model since 1995 (at the moment it's third).
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been studying this system for months, and kept feeling tricky. 😂 Do you have any plans for the control logic for this e-tech?
I'll order Toyota yaris inverter and get the electric motor running. I switch in gear so that remove the gearchage unit and put in gear by hand. I think I don't have to change gears at all for this buggy where we will install the motor.
Nice video. Thanks! What do you think, which one of those 2 systems is better, this one or the Toyota HSD? The 2 systems are fitted to similar cars, with similar prices.
Thank you for the question. I have seen both systems taken apart, seen the construction. I only have driven the car with the toyota hybrid system it was Auris. To answer your question I need to try the Renault car to see the difference, maybe need to rent clio hybrid because that would be almost same size like Auris. I remember I could drive the Auris here in estonia, at summertime on the highway 90km/h and get fuel economy 4,4l/100km. In city driving about 5.5l/100km
Thank you for this nice video!!. Can you share what is the Model Code / Part No. for this gearbox?? From there maybe easier to lookout for more info's across the web.
Are you sure? I understood there are four gears which are connected to both electric motor and internal combustion engine. As per the absence of a clutch 1st gear is only for the electric motor till 25 km/h. Is that correct?
@@stefanobalistreri8349 I am not sure because I haven't seen the car that has this transmission. I just have rotated the input shafts by hand and now also run the electric motor like in this video. Also I tried to engage all the available gears mechanically. I think and it's clear that both, internal combustion engine and electric motor can be connected to output halfshafts. Electric motor has also two gears and a neutral thats my impression about the system. Now I am on vacation in the autumn I'll be connecting the new inverter to it and an higher voltage battery 72V for starters, then we'll see what speeds are possible.
could you explain to me please, how transmission works in new 2024 Dacias? They seem to use the same transmission from Renault Clio - standard hybrid with 140hp, and they state that it has 6 gears - 2 for electric motor and 4 for the combustion engine. The salesman tried to explain it to me like the 2 first gears to start the car and get up to speed are via electric and it only uses the combustion engine when you drive faster, but it does not make any sense for me - mostly if you drive for a long period of time in the city, you could run of the battery. Is it like with Toyotas that somehow they can both work at the same time, or does it have 2 clutches - one for electric and one for cumbustion and it can just choose if it engages them and also chooses the ratio of their output? Whats really happening? Thank you
Sorry I don't know about dacia. But the unit I have cannot have so many gears and the documentation that I found about it doesn't say also that there can be so many gears. The car where this driveunit came from was from 2021 car maybe they have developed new one? As I understand there is no need for a clutch, when changing petrol engine gears bigger electric motor drives the wheels. Maybe salesman described extra gears when both petrol and electric motor work together? Then it's possible to count them also as separate situation.
In this video I used sensorless 36V 350W e-bike controller this is enough to make it rotate without load. Right now it rotates already with Toyota inverter see my short video czcams.com/users/shortsBqjMEmB8KR8?si=8M5PVhu182aVyVd1

I wouldn't compare those two. And Renault couldn't copy Toyotas solution. Renault system should be more efficient because of manual transmission less gears are in contact then planetary gearsets in Toyota Hybrid drive. Actuation is done by two very fast electric motors. Has anybody driven the Renault e-tech is it smooth, is it possible to feel the gearcahnge? Is it loud when you floor it like Toyota is?
Great, very informative video. Thank You very much.
Thank you, will try to make more.
I was looking into how etech hybrid gearbox works and I stumbled upon your video. Great work!
Thank you. Will make more videos when I get the inverter for it next year!
I was gong to buy a Dacia Hybrid but this has put me off.
@@fivish I wonder why? Does the dacia hybrid use the same driveunit? Have you testdriven the car?
Great video, I have been looking for this for a couple of week. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, I hope I can go ahead with this at the end of the year.

Thank you for a rare video. Would you be able to tell me how many revolutions the engine makes for one turn of an output half shaft in 6th gear?
There is no 6-th gear. There is two gears for engine and 2 gears for electric motor. Both gearbox parts also have neutral.
Are you sure?

What are your thoughts about how many self charging hybrids by renault are failing? Specifically the Arkana?
I have no idea, there are very few PHEV renaults in my country.

Can you change the oil on the gearbox and do you know what type of oil they use?
Yes there are usual bolts to drain oil and fill and check the gearbox oil level.
What do you use for testing? Inverter? Do you have a link for buy that?
