- The Tyson 250 at North Wilkesboro was an exciting race. Corey Heim looked sharp early and won Stage 1. Kyle Larson made his presence felt by winning Stage 2 after a close battle with Carson Hocevar. Overall, there weren't any major wrecks but the race ended with 12 cautions and went into overtime. After leading 137 laps out of 250, Kyle Larson was able to win the Tyson 250 at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

The race today at North Wilkesboro was so cool. I love how untouched the area around the track was on my drive up. The tracks amenities have been preserved in such a way that I literally felt like I stepped back in time. I even love how the white painted concrete blocks on the bathroom walls, the preservation of the grandstands, and the simple press boxes have all been renovated so tastefully. The internet was spotty but I could've cared less. It honestly added to the nostalgia. I even ran right into Marcus Smith and got the chance to talk with him before the race. I am so happy for the residents of this town. You can feel how proud they are of this track. Thank you Nascar for bringing North Wilkesboro back to life. Please keep coming here.

Larson can truly win in anything
Congrats to Larson winning, but I'm not watching trucks to see Cup series guys race there. Let it be the guys who are working their way up, not the guys coming down for an extra bit of helmet time. It's taking points away from the guys who are potentially racing for a seat up a series and throwing the championship stats off. Now, having a one-off race where everyone can step down to a more junior series and race for no points would be a good idea to get a feel for who's got it against the top level, and give some of the newer guys a chance to shine.

Sure a cup guy got up front and dominated. But there was a handful of other cup drivers mixing it up with the regulars.
I never got to see Cale Yarborough race in a cup car. But I did get to see him in a ASA late-model. Because they would race lower divisions too.
I always enjoyed watching Stewert, in a dirt car , more than watching him in cup cars.
I have also seen cup guys get into a Busch car , and not be able to qualify the car. Or wreck it qualifying.
Just enjoy the fact you got to see some racing history today. Larson got his first win at Wilkesboro.

"Failie" Deegan is a hazard in every truck series race. She's a dud in all motorsports racing, not just NASCAR. The stats/facts don't lie. Thor Sports should've chosen a more competent driver than her for their team. Top level team, top level equipment and lowest caliber driver.
