- The Amiga can be a real pain to emulate in RetroArch. This guide covers downloading and installing the PUAE core and some tips around setting up RetroArch to handle games with multiple disk images, as well as some advice on getting Amiga games to display with no borders.

Things you'll need to do before you start:
1. Install RetroArch
2. Have an Amiga game .adf file ready to use
3. Obtain Amiga Kickstart ROM files (Optional)
4. Connect a controller to your system

Can anyone help with setting up an Xbox controller for the amiga core? I just tried to play chaos engine, I couldn’t move past the character select screen no matter what button I pressed. Also in banshee I’m assuming there’s a second fire button maybe for bombs/special weapons?
Hi I've got most aff files in the retroarch, though some games won't load fully and asking for the extra 1mb memory amiga Does this need another kickstart rom? 1.3 or 3.0...
Is there any way to set up RetroArch to use your keyboard and mouse without having it overtake the input? Trying to start a game and the F1 key brings up the RetroArch menu, but the game doesn't see it being pressed.
Check the retroarch hotkeys for a 'Game Focus' button.

Any idea where to put the kickstarts for retroarch when running on a steamdeck? Putting them under roms/amiga doesnt work - retroarch complains it cant find the kickstart. Thanks.
Figured it out for those who may come here via google. It goes into emulation/bios (not emulation/bios/amiga). Also make sure the .rom extension is removed.

After hours i did not get retroarch to load any kickstart rom
for some reason it only sees IPF files and not ADF files

Just a hunch; are you using the latest version of RetroArch and the latest PUAE 2021 core?
4:55 You don't need to enter the file location. If the .m3u file is in the same folder as the game files, then just copy the file names. I wouldn't recommend ever copying the file path, because if you ever move your games, you'll have to edit every single .m3u file.
