Hi doc , I saw your short video of How to check HCL level. When I took betaine HCl (one capsule)i get burp within 3 minutes. what is this meaning. My friend who also took betaine HCl (one capsule) did not get any burp in 3 minutes. what this means.Tq doc.
It's an estimation and not an exact science for checking stomach acid levels. I usually use 3 minutes as the cutoff point for determining if trying betaine hcl pepsin may be helpful.
