This was a special one! For the second video in this series to be in a building that no one has yet been allowed to film in.....well welcome to this series!
I had only heard about this building but WOW! 100% the most luxurious building I've seen in NY and I think I've ever seen. The unit we saw is $33 million dollars!! You read that right! And the 4 floors below that were purchased together for a whopping $238 million!!! INSANITY!
The view alone is worth millions. Stunning to say the least.
I wish we could have filmed the amenities, because they were so wild. Largest indoor pool in NY, a private bar and Jean George Restaurant only for residents. The gym is 20k+ square feet and the spa.....well you can imagine. They also have underground parking, but you have to buy a spot and they're limited. Last one went for 3mil.....just saying.
So wild! What a delight to see this place and beyond motivating
If you are serious about this place, and you can afford it, you should go see it. I would be this will only ever go up in value. 220 Central Park South is here to stay!
For all inquiries, please send the listing agent Jessica a message

And big thanks to Jon Stein as always for setting this madness up.
Give him a follow as well:
    jstein
So much real estate motivation there as well.
220 Central Park South was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and SLCE Architects, with interiors designed by Thierry Despont. The limestone facade is intended to blend in with other buildings around Central Park. Most of the 118 apartments are duplex apartments, although some of the units have been combined to create larger penthouse or duplex apartments. The building has a porte-cochère, a wine cellar, private dining rooms, and various recreational facilities.
Vornado Realty Trust developed the building on the site of a rent-stabilized apartment complex constructed in 1954. While Vornado acquired the existing apartment building in 2005, a lawsuit from the existing building's tenants forced the demolition of the existing structure to be delayed to 2012. Additionally, Vornado had to settle a dispute with Extell, which owned a garage on the site and had expressed concern that Vornado's structure would block views of Extell's Central Park Tower directly to the south. Robert A. M. Stern's designs were released in early 2014, and the plans were approved that March. Work on the base started in 2015 and most exterior work was done by the time the first residents moved into the building in 2018.
220 Central Park South contains some of the most expensive apartments in New York City, with a secretive purchasing process and many anonymous buyers. Two of the building's units have sold for over $100 million, including a $238 million unit purchased by billionaire hedge fund manager Kenneth C. Griffin in 2019, the most expensive home ever sold in the United States to date.
    Thanks to all for watching.
Again, just getting my feet wet.
    More to come!

Everyone should keep in mind that cameras don’t show the true scale of any place. I’m sure in person you could definitely see that the finishes, etc are commensurate with the price. Also keep in mind you pay a premium for each floor of a building. So the higher the floor, the more expensive the apartment. I don’t work in real estate but those are just some things you find out by living in the city.

One suggestion ..... Please have your videographer spend the majority of his/her time focusing on the space and not on you and your colleagues. Frankly, it’s irritating to hear you talk about a property’s features and not be able to see what you’re talking about because the camera unnecessarily remains fixed on you talking. Your exceptionally fine videos would be made much better if this suggestion were followed.

@@hothotheat3000 no no, 33 million dollars. You'll have to say it constantly to remember that you deserve more when you pay that much. They should be honored to pay you more, I would wear a golden vested with a dark green suit with small art deco flower designs on it, and walk them in with a imperial satin silver glove that they get personally. I wouldn't show them an empty floorplan with bizzare 1620 taken 1st empire Wainscotting, and it better be dusted gold leaf if ever to be there. Needs much more stone work than some Quartzite counter as shown in another apartment..I mean home. Jade countertop with opal gold flake enclosed by ebony lining the edges of it..perfectly flush of course. Or line it with gloss pearl accented style wood..I've seen this type of wood in the older american furniture pieces from the 1930's-----the all the way back in the 17th century...its truly remarkable. Considering a parking spot in the building went for 3M, I suppose 33M for your actual living space shouldn't be all that surprising and yet it is. I was wondering if real estate prices may have dipped due to the panorama, similar to rental spaces, but apparently this answers my question.
edit: I prefer the floor colouring etc in the rental apartment but wow 85K per month?!?!? 😱I wonder what kind of person has that kind of money to rent and why they would when they could easily just buy somewhere and have an investment.

33 million and very loud traffic noise! 😅
And neighbors under who hear high heels banging - or you hearing people walking upstairs… ridiculous!

If it’s not too invasive, can you guys tell us how much you approximately spend on your renovations? It’s a world that I dream to live in but am never sure how much you need or how to finance it properly.

It is very invasive to ask how much a person spends on their rent, their mortgage or their home renovations. The rule of thumb in polite society is, do not ask strangers about their personal finances, unless you are dating them.

$33 for an apartment in NYC with a soaring crime rate and people leaving in droves-No thanks! You better pray there isn’t a fire on a low-level floor if you live this high up. It will be your last chance to admire the views. Any fire fighter will tell you never live higher than about the 15th floor of any high rise. One of the “spectacular” views appears to be other towers. $33 million can buy a lot of property along with a mansion in suburban NY or Connecticut or New Jersey, not far from NYC, where you’re not surrounded by millions of people. Heck, $3 million can buy a home with the same interior.

The real estate agents didn’t do such a good job selling this . Brendan did a really good job or tried to lol. Hard to sell for this price unless you have money in general . Lol . Loved the view from the bathroom , hated the size of the kitchen and the hallway lighting . Seemed to dim 😫.

Too many walls! It would seem that the floor plan would be far more open than it appears! Kitchen is also tiny for that price. I mean it's cool to get a glimpse into excess. But you know what, even if I could afford it, it seems very cold and not worth the price. It felt like a maze. 🤷🏾‍♀️Lol! But it was a cool tour to see how the billionaires live! 🤑😊
